UPDATE : COMAC 909

In November 2024, you saw that Comac rebranded their ARJ21-700 to C909. We wanted to reflect this rebranding in the game to improve the immersion and this will begin today in-game.
In Airlines Manager, we can’t update the model name as it would create issues with liveries, so we can’t just modify the name of existing aircraft to C909. We had to do several modifications to make it happen that I will list you right now:
1. Create a new aircraft called C909
First, we had to create a new aircraft called C909 that will replace the ARJ21-700.
This aircraft has the same stats as the ARJ21-700, but with the new manufacturer livery of the C909 :
2. Deactivate the old ARJ21-700
With the arrival of the C909, as it does not replace the ARJ21-700, we had to disable its acquisition in the normal aircraft purchase.
Now, the only ways to get an ARJ21-700 is by using the following methods:
The plane continues to work on your company if you have it, and you can continue to access it on Painter.
However, this modification modified the rarity of it in the game, this aircraft moves from the Common rarity to the Rare rarity, increasing its value.
To celebrate the arrival of the C909, you can get for a limited and one-time only its First livery in the workshop, that’s the only moment it will be available!
WHAT ABOUT JANUARY?
There are several things coming in January that i’d like to share with you
AM Gold
A new month means new AM Gold content! You can now access to the exclusive AM Gold offer in your shop if you’re subscribed, plus a couple of gifts this month, including the L-1011-200 for subcribers step 9 and the X777-9 for subscribers step 12.

A321XLR available in the aircraft purchase
You requested it a lot, the A321XLR will be available through the aircraft purchase menu this month. It will first be available in the shop only for a week with an iconic livery (not First!), then will appear in the aircraft purchase menu on January 23.
Two aircraft stats updated
Let’s be honest, some aircraft are not realistic in this game. The causes are simple : 1. Multiple Game Designers with different processes and appreciation of stats worked and left Playrion during the years and 2. there are limitations in the flight calculation that cannot let us do as we wish (the weight versus range ratio for example)
However, we will try to regularly update existing aircraft to reflect their real life stats better on what we can modify.
To celebrate those modifications, they will be on discount for a limited period of time if you want to try new possibilities they offer.
I’ll come back to you later to give you more details about those aircraft and their new stats.
A vote for the future aircraft added
In the past, we asked you to vote for new aircraft added to the game. That’s something I want to bring back and that will happen this month through the Gazette.
We will choose 4 different aircraft that you’ll be able to vote for, then in a second phase you’ll vote for the finalists. We’ll then announce the winner and begin working on adding it, hopefully for February.

Lunar New Year festivities
The LNY festivities will begin at the end of the month, with several events in the game, and of course the return of exclusive livery to celebrate the year of the Snake!

Mise à jour : COMAC 909

En Novembre 2024, vous avez pu constater que Comac a changé le nom de leur ARJ21-700 en C909. Nous avons souhaité refléter ce changement de nom en jeu afin d’augmenter l’immersion, et cela arrive dès aujourd’hui.
Dans Airlines Manager, nous ne pouvons pas simplement mettre à jour le nom d’un modèle d’avion existant car cela créerait des bugs avec les livrées existantes. Nous avons dû donc faire quelques modifications que je vais vous expliquer maintenant :
1. Créer un nouvel avion appelé C909
Tout d’abord, nous avons dû créer un nouvel avion appelé C909 qui viendra remplacer l’ARJ21-700.
Cet avion possède les mêmes caractéristiques que son prédécesseur, mais sa livrée constructeur montre le changement visuel appliqué par Comac :
2. Désactiver l’ancien ARJ21-700
Avec l’arrivée du C909, et comme celui-ci n’est pas une retouche du ARJ21-700 existant, nous avons désactivé l’acquisition de cet ancien modèle, également par un soucis de réalisme.
Maintenant, voici les seules façons d’obtenir l’ARJ21-700 :
Cependant, cette modification apporte un changement de rareté pour cet avion, il passe de Commun à Rare, augmentant sa valeur.
Pour célébrer l’arrivée du C909, vous pouvez obtenir pour un temps limité sa livrée First dans l’Atelier, cela sera le seul moment où elle sera obtenable !
ET À PROPOS DE JANVIER ?
Il y a plusieurs choses qui arrivent au mois de Janvier et que j’aimerais partager avec vous

Deux avions mis à jour
Soyons honnêtes, certains avions dans le jeu ne sont pas réalistes. Les causes sont simples : 1. Plusieurs Game Designers se sont succédé chez Playrion, les uns et les autres ayant des process et des visions différentes des stats d’avion, 2. Il y a des limitations dans les calculs des vols qui ne nous permettent pas de faire ce que l’on aimerait ( notamment avoir une gestion du poids de l'appareil pour influer sur la portée )
Cependant, nous essayerons de régulièrement mettre à jour certaines stats sur lesquelles nous avons la main afin de mieux refléter leur version de la réalité.
Afin de célébrer chaque modification, ces avions seront en réduction pendant une période limitée vous permettant de plus facilement essayer les nouvelles opportunités que les modifications apportent.
Je reviendrai vers vous plus tard pour vous donner plus de détails sur ces avions et leurs nouvelles caractéristiques.

Dans le passé, nous vous demandions parfois de voter pour des nouveaux avions ajoutés dans le jeu. C’est quelque chose que j’aimerais ré-instaurer et cela commencera dès ce mois-ci dans la Gazette.
Nous choisirons 4 avions différents basés sur vos demandes pour lesquels vous pourrez voter, puis ensuite lors d’un vote entre deux finalistes. Nous annoncerons le grand gagnant et commencerons à travailler sur son ajout en jeu pour, je l'espère, au courant du mois de Février.
