Warmest greetings from Minamar Specialized Industries!

We delight in meeting new peoples and welcoming them into the greater galactic community. With over 143 successful uplifts to date, we’re the acknowledged leaders in the field of social and technological ascendancy. We’re thrilled to finally make your acquaintance, and hope to add your world to our success story.

We understand that this is all very sudden. Receiving a transmission ‘from the stars’ has likely come as a surprise to you, but we’ve been watching your world for some time and your civilization scores very highly on several relevant metrics. With an evaluation score of ?ERROR_UNDEFINED, the people of ?ERROR_HOMEWORLDNAMENOTFOUND have been flagged as particularly worthy of cooperative enlightenment. Congratulations!

We have assigned some of our best specialists to your case, and our representatives will be arriving on world shortly. We can’t wait to meet in person to discuss the benefits of ascendency as well as the terms of this beautiful arrangement.

Enlightenment may not be free. But at MSI, it’s always worth the cost.

Your friends at Minamar Specialized Industries

i mean.. it could be the materialist alternative to shroud covenant. tech boni from sugar daddy. shadow vorlon style. (sad and confused that that stuff never was really implemented for the existing fallen empires, some kind of proxy war and weird quests long before the war in heaven, there are a few events but it is almost zero)

Situations & the (horribly unimpactful) Espionage system were not a thing when FEs were implemented but I could see some potential there.

Fallen Empires reaching out to ethically aligned empires before the War in Heaven starts and giving some situations that involve other empires the opposing Fallen Empire recruited, which culminates in this back & forth of covert operations with some open warfare at the later stages right before the War in Heaven...
Something like that, maybe....

Playing as a primitive could be interesting, but it wouldn't want to last much longer than 5 years before some kind of event to propel us into the stars fired

You're in luck, there are multiple games that let you play as primitives! As in, every other game Paradox has made.

Good idea. At the moment, nobody joins the FEs in War of Heaven, certainly not when galactic imperium is estabnished. With your idea, galactic emperor could use covert operations too keep other nations in imperium so they wont join FEs

I'm beginning to feel like (possibly 'fear') the many calls for an internal politics and/or factions rework are being deliberately ignored, but Paradox is keeping this quiet for reasons it has not (and maybe will not?) disclose. I'm baffled as to why.

Has anyone else asked for a Primatives rework? Genuine question, because I haven't seen it. Internal politics, factions, religion and hive minds - I've seen many requests for those for quite some time.

I'm also quite saddened, because we now take a pretty good guess that we're going to have to wait for the *next* Crisis Team update before the next opportunity for an internal politics rework rolls around... and based on the recent track record, it probably won't even happen then. Speculation on my part, sure, but speculation borne out of previous disappointments.
Primitives has been one of the most asked for, up there with internal politics. The difference is that Internal politics will likely fall under the Custodians while primitives would be under Crisis. And the Custodians are prioritizing the AI functionality, game speed, and bugs over all else right now.
I have little doubt that we will get it eventually, but I do think that it will come under the Custodian and not the Crisis team. Just like the combat rework. Because they are the ones who have to make sure that the AI can handle it regardless. I doubt people would tolerate the AI getting dumber because it's struggling to deal with internal and external politics.

That is what I saying. Normally there is this alternation between dlc, free updates ans species packs. Correct me if I'm wrong but the next thing in line would be DLC by now, right? If so, if I am to pay dlc-grade money to uplift dogs, I mean, those better be some freaggin' smart saint-bernards.
There was an alternating free/dlc cycle earlier in 3.x but Toxoids and Overlord launched back-to-back so the new cycle is unknown. I don't recall if the Stellaris team has publicly released their dlc goals. The CK3 team said they want two minor and one major DLC (plus one free patch) in 2023, but that's a different studio.

Always live getting new Stellaris DLC. I have every single one amd over 1k hours in this game.

Whatever the next update is please include an ARMY MANAGER TOOL. Late game having to click every Planet and spam click armies across 20 worlds is annoying. Needing 5k army stacks to take out some fortress worlds or fallen empire worlds gets cumbersome having to click so much.

I would also like a shift click mechanic to recruit armies in 10.

Army manager tool that allows you to designate which types of armies are recruited and to mix and match.

Also if you could have recruiting slots per military academy and fortresses thay would help. Only be able to recruit one guy at a time takes forever. If I have 5 strongholds on a fortress planet I should be able to recruit 5 armies at a time. It makes sense fortress worlds would be able to pump out more recruits.

Lastly, update the Warbot Civic. Not sure what it needs, but it's lacking at the moment.

I want a way to create conspiracies with enough advanced governments of primitive species, and perhaps to trigger world wars that bring the world to devastation or that make the inhabitants willing to conquer, with the promise of a prosperous future.

Sure, but a primitive origin is something that people seem to want for some reason. If such an origin were to exist as part of the DLC I think a Mass Effect style Prothean ruins discovery to boost technology would have to happen early in the game.

This seems sort of silly as a dlc; there aren't that many civilizations to uplift.

So you can safely assume there will be more with this DLC.
"We're adding more of a gimmick to make the gimmick marketable."

I would personally like if land battles were more than watching Pogs change color.
