Depends on the game, depends on the wolves. I think reasonably good, but cautious, wolves are more likely to be caught out by frantic vote shifting because they can't react quick enough. Whereas a hyperactive but not brilliant wolf wouldn't be caught out, as to follow whatever's going blindly is in their nature. In general I think most games you should just let a natural vote cycle occur (this also goes for 'vote consolidation' or whatever Kiwi calls it - it's good to have a concentrated run up, but if as a villager you have to tell other people to vote for a real candidate too much, then it's unproductive IMO), and usually that will give enough information for a competent village to find wolves with. But every now and then a sudden 'everybody switch to x!!! STRING HIM UP !!!£$"$%£' can throw the best laid wolf plans into chaos. Also, I am compelled to agree with Reis. Whacky vote shifting allows wolves to hide more than it catches them out with its suddenness. Orderly and methodical wins more frequently than unpredictable and erratic.

And...? There was just as likely a chance of switching on to one. Some would say more likely. But the point isn't that it increases your chances of lynching a wolf, it's about maximising information and, if you do happen to get a wolf, throwing the wolves into disarray.Last time I participated in one of those, we switched off of a wolf =/

I've also seen them explode a village just as often as they help, if not more. I don't really know if it's worth risking.
I've done them once or twice. But I normally only do them if I either feel it's very unlikely that the current frontrunners are baddies, or if I have a strong suspicion on someone else. Preferably, I have both.
You mean en passant.

And you do here. For I am a not-wolf. Joeb is a wolf. Let us move forward together to a world without joeb.
please don't do this.
NOTED. VOTES FOR FALC WILL NOW COUNT TOWARDS LYNCHING TOTALS.Erm, Yakman, I don't mind the protection but maybe make it a bit less obvious?
Okay...this vote is way too static. I'm not calling for a massive switch, but right now we have absolutely no movement anywhere. The problem with having 3 defined favourites and everyone else on one vote is that there's little potential for any change of the top three candidates. It should never be too fluid, but equally the running should never be set in concrete like this. With the current situation the wolves will have plenty of time to decide their strategy; right now it looks inevitable it will remain roughly like this until deadline, when someone will break the tie. Unless the wolves are retarded, they will sell out their packmate or save them - if they have to. Chances are they won't have to do anything. But I'm not going to do something unilaterally, unless anyone else agrees, I'll have to put up with it.

Mandatory RP: "Gee, could somebody open a window in here?"
By the way, this includes ties. If there is a tie at the deadline, let it stand. No matter the size of the tie. Let wolves decide whether the hypothetical swap is worth it. If you vote to break the tie, you are likely to be doing a favor to the wolves, unless you happen to hit one, in which case you will be hunted.
