It saddens us to discover that the Lady Arryn has betrayed his own dead husband and chose not to support the one that John Arryn considered as the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. We do not wish any harm to such a noble lady, but we must condemn his actions and laugh over her contradictory affirmation of not supporting the claim of independence of Rob Stark but actually planning how to aid them in battle.

We refuse to comment anything about our rightful assault on White Harbor; Rob Stark has revealed himself as a traitor and so we declare him unfit to rule until he realizes of his own mistakes and recognizes us as his rightful King.

We feel also terribly ashamed from our brother words, who still considers himself fit to a throne that does not belong to us while he insults a brother that has never raised arms against his own kin.

Stannis Baratheon the First of His Name, King of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm, Lord of Dragonstone, Lord of Storm's End, Lord Paramount of the Stormlands, Warrior of Light, The Lord's Chosen and Son of Fire.

It is one thing to declare my nephews crown illegitimate, or even take up arms to remove it; had this happened the vale would have no cause for intervention. it is another thing entirely to launch an unprovoked and unwarned attack on his people, who have done nothing to hinder your cause. by launching such attacks neutral powers cannot be assured of their own safety and are forced to intervene on their own behalf. any legitimacy your claim might have had burned away with the town of white harbor, a king protects his people while you burn them as Aerys one did in the past.

you claim that my husband supported your claim, when his loyalty to his friend and king would never permit such dishonor. you claim that i betray his memory when all i do now is what he always held above all else: I protect the people of the vale and ensure that a madman does not sit the iron throne. my husband once sent valeman blades to dethrone aerys as i do now by acting to stop another from taking up the cowl of mad king.

you claim I aid the norths rebellion when all i do is act to protect the people of westeros, regardless of who they call king when I would have done the same had it been lannisport, highgarden or yronwood that burned.

The heretic Stannis has been truly revealed to the eyes of Westeros, as the madman he truly is. To attack the fine people of the North, is a blatant act of tyranny, induced by the ravings of his beloved fiery puppetmaster. Let us be washed of such putrid nonsense, and quickly unite, against incest and insanity.

The vale is glad to have the south's support in opposition of the burner lord of dragonstone, who has yet to provide a justification of any sort for his atrocities

(ooc: why does everyone seem to want to play a vassal of the north?, even the freys are acting enthusiastic to serve him)

Reminder to get your orders in ASAP

(ooc: ive been active and waiting for a responce to my extensive ic before going more, perhaphs we should offer inactive players spots to others? or perhaphs treat their lack of communication as an IC decision i was hoping a co-gm tywin would be very active)

the vale is concerned about the lannisters silence as to the legitimacy of their king, and is beginning to consider the possibility that renly's claim as to the bastardy of king joffery may hold truth

OOC: I would treat this one as deliberate silence, not choosing to comment on the "filthy rumor" even to deny it.

Westeros burns in the fire of civil war sparked by the treachery of few. The Bartheon brothers, jealous of our beloved King Robert, seek to usurp the Iron Throne for thier own selfish need, rather than honour their kin's memory and stand behind his son and heir. The former hand, Lord Eddard Stark, sought to usurp the Iron Throne for his own. A treacherous crime confessed to Gods and men at the Great Sept of Baelor. His son, Lord Robb Stark, shares the same hunger for power as his father. Now the wolf pup holds our beloved Jaime Lannister, a valiant man whom served as my squire in his youth and whom I owe my life. Let it be known to all lords, high and low, that I, Sumner Crakehall, will not rest until the cold chains of the north are free from Ser Jaime Lannister and all of Westerose is united under the one true king, Joffrey Baratheon. Awaiting orders from our liege lord Tywin Lannister, the brindled boar stands ready to charge, and there are none so fierce!

(ooc: its great to have more lannisters on the field, your aar welcome to the game,)

the vale questions crakehall's certainty as to the legitimacy of Joffery Lannister when 5 of the lords paramount (my beloved nephew and father, the noble king renly, the kraken king, and if the rumors are true even my beloved husband had doubts ) and even the burner lord stannis are assured of his bastardry. and would like to remind the fierce lord sumner that the "ser" jaime he hold in such high regard was put in chains for ravaging the riverlands, and is rumored to have been the father of the king on the iron throne.

who can be certain of who is the rightful king in times such as these, we call upon the lords of the realm to protect their own people and prepare for the coming winter rather then wage wars of aggression it is our obligation to the people over who we rule

It is rumoured that upon hearing The Vale's proclamation, Lord Sumner only scoffs and dismisses his heralds and scribes, saying only, "I will not dignify rumours and imaginings so vile with a response."

((and thanks for the warm welcome, Pkrmgc))

The depravity of the false claimant Stannis Baratheon is disturbing and disgusting to the upmost. The burning of the Sept of Snow is a sin of unimaginable proportions.

The so-called "King of the North" is but a sullen and used boy whom the Houses of the North play like a puppet at Casterly Rock. He will be defeated like all the other usurpers to the throne, and they will all get the treatment they deserve of betraying the trust and the loyalty of good King Joffrey.

~ Tywin Lannister of Casterly Rock, Warden of the West

Fitting that just as a boar should desecrate Our brother's body, so the Boar House should defile his memory.

It is for, rather than in spite of, Our brother's legacy that this cause is waged. The Iron Throne was pledged to the rightful heir, not the bastard spawn of incest. Moreover, it is universally known that Lord Eddard Stark was the victim of a Lannister plot. He was a man of loyal and noble character to whom confederacy was anathema. To say otherwise is to accuse the late King Robert of incompetence or wilful treason, for it was he who appointed Lord Stark. Such unmerited accusations shall do little to sway the people.

Rest assured, the rightful heir shall be restored. And We shall remember those men who aspired to principle rather than power by siding with the righteous cause. Contrariwise, those who gave comfort to traitors, furnished them with arms against Our Grace and barricaded their lands against the Royal Army, shall be treated as their inconstancy deserves.

~ His Grace, Renly of House Baratheon, the First of His Name, King of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Realm
