I claimed SA, 2 different seers and sorc the night I was hunted. I double-cleared tamius and was about to double-clear Ironhead. I figured as I couldn't be a mad seer we could use tamius as subject to figure out who was a mad seer and who wasn't. Turned out it was redundant, but as I knew tamius was good I wasn't letting you guys lynch him on that bullshit case.
Yeah Tam being ran up was annoying. It's too bad we couldn't have gone for Dex. Although I didn't mind Luft dying since it put me on the council.

Almost forgot due to not being able to quote quotes: I5 it was really stupid that you thought it a good idea for goodies to contact MC. Just because he was saved didn't mean he was a goodie---as was blatantly revealed later in the game.

Here is the PM with Hax. @Hax was there another reason you contacted me besides thinking I had cleared myself? After I died I actually thought Hax was a wolf and hunted me due to claiming having spent 2 points to get on the council waiting list.

Translation please.

Yes, wombat contacted me later and even told me mc/Ithvan was with the other pack so I could hook up with them too.
Was that after you were outed?
And you call yourself a physicist? "Everybody" knows scientists look like that. ;)
There actually are at least one professor at AU who has hair like that.
He also put me contact with Hax and things went down hill from there.
You already were flirting with the baddies by then?

A shame that didn't happen then.

Having a double cleared goodie is never redundant.
Translation please.
Google Translate should be good enough.

Werewolf CLXXXIX: Dinner and a Murder

5932757240_320a603da3_b.jpg

The Setting
The greatest minds in Werewolf have been invited to an expensive dinner party hosted by the mysterious Mr H. C., a man that even the meticulous Wagonlitz couldn't find any info on. The guests arrive at a secluded manor and are ushered in by servants to the main dining hall where they meet their host, a small and quiet gentleman with catlike eyes. As the night continues, there seems to be a general sense of unease that fills the air. Some of the guests were seen arguing with Mr. H. C. and it seems like they knew him before and that they weren't on good terms. Other guests were caught purloining items by the staff and quite a scene was caused. As the main course was about to arrive, the lights went out and a loud shout was heard. When they came back on, Mr. H. C. was dead and while everyone agreed they saw suspicious activity no one could agree who committed it. The guests first checked their cell phones and realized they got no service in this secluded spot. They then split up and checked the exits, only to find each one was locked. It seemed that the only way they were getting out was if they tracked down Mr. H. C.'s killers.

No. Hax asked for the names of the other buddies which made me distrustful of him. Then Hazbot pulled his stunt and I thought for sure Hax was trying to break up the buddies (this is before Tam was hunted). Then Tam was hunted and Hazbot was proven a goodie and dedicated my energies to keeping Avatar alive. Only for Hax to get one of the doctor's lynched while the council used its cloak on Avatar. After that I decided it was hopeless to keep both buddies alive and started looking for baddies.

What was the stunt Hazbot did?

If you're not going to read the thread why are you brother with asking questions?
I have read the thread, but I cannot remember exactly what he did. Was he the one who outed I5?
If you mention it I probably would remember it. You being on the receiving end means you remember it much better.

He was the one who tired to shake down Avatar for the names of the other buddies, which caused Avatar to out him self as one. And for us to lynch Hazbot despite him being a goodie spy.

Ah right; I remember that. That indeed was stupid.

It was actually kinda of funny since it was a pair of noobs who each only had about half an idea what they should do.

Yeah I can see that point. Also I really wonder why Hazbot went public with that knowledge instead of contacting avatar.

He did. Avatar understandable freaked out then he went public.

Was that after you were outed?
It was after Hax made his spy reports about mr X public but before I got outed (when I messed up my lies talking to him).

I actually considered spying on the abandoned building, but forgot it again when making spy orders.
If I had spied on it would I then have found you and what effect would it have had?

As did I, but in the end I assumed there'd be no big red button.

I agree with EURO there. The sub indeed is the continuation of the role and should have all knowledge, but if the sub out fails to provide it then the GM shouldn't step in.

What if they're subbing out because they've gone missing?

It seems basic sense to me to share everything the previous user did, especially now it's so easy. They're going to have to explain it all anyway.

The thing is the GM isn't included in all private communication between players. I included Daffius here as a courtesy, but from now on, I will never again hold a private conversation with the GM present in order to avoid such breach of privacy.

So it wasn't because you forgot it you didn't?
Also @Daffius I would still like to know what would have happened had one of us spied on it.

So much this. So the GM might well be mistaken in some things. Plus the GM telling some things might also give them extra validity. The only thing a GM should tell a sub is who he used his powers on---should he have powers. So if a seer is subbed the GM should tell the sub who has been scanned on previously. Which is best done by adding the sub to the original role PM.

It's just utter madness to expect a player to sub in, say for madchemist, without telling them that they've claimed seer. You might as well just strike them down with lightning. I'd rather see it compulsory to include the GM in all conversations than ban sharing it with a sub. They are going to have to account for their actions anyway, and a moment's hesitation is enough to screw them over. Not a way to repay someone who has stepped up to do what you couldn't.
