I would agree on it affecting sorc scans too.

Also happy have you advertised in OT?
Sent out PMs?

Also I just remembered that you could try PMing videonfan too.

Haven't gotten around to that yet, wanted to wait until I finalized the rules and roles. I will do so tonight and then probably push the sign up deadline to Monday to give people time to see the PMs and sign up and I'll be with family over the weekend anyway.

I feel mostly certain that videonfan has no interest in playing Werewolf anymore. Could be wrong, though.

Pretty sure he kept playing past his "Oh God, we lost another two villagers" comment.

The specific change to the sorc that the framer does seems ridiculously unbalanced, if I read that correctly. Doesn't it give the potential for one villager to out an entire pack, because the baddies got unlucky enough to both be on the same person? That's like saying that a wolf gets to join the Jl if the GA and the Seer both set their orders to him on the same night. Balance it by doing something with Sorcs, sure, but don't let them scan a villager as a wolf.

If I read it right, it just means a sorc can't trust his scans 100%, since it's possible that he might scan a player as a wolf who isn't one because he's been framed. I don't see how that could possibly result in a villager outing an entire pack.

It has the potential to out an entire pack only if the sorc is working with one pack, scans someone who was being framed by another pack, and then contacts them and gives them the name of the entire pack they are working with. So arguably it would take at least some incompetence from the baddies to allow an entire pack to be outed. But I do see your point. Counter proposal, a framer who happens to be targeting a wolf makes them come up as a villager to sorc scans. It obfuscates sorc scans without allowing them to scan a villager as a wolf.

Some incompetence is an understatement. I say you don't obfuscate anything and keep it as is with the framer being able to accidentally sabotage the sorc.

Meh, I guess I just don't like framer in general. It seems like something were if the user gets lucky, it does a great deal of damage, and if they are unlucky (given your earlier proposal) it still causes a lot of damage. there just doesn't seem to be any in between, and the role isn't designed to have any in between.

It's a fair criticism, but one you could also make for other roles. I think I'll go with my counter proposal though and we'll see how it goes. I have to at least try to be avant-garde.

I would join (you asked in a unanswerable PM) but I'd like to get a bit more experience (a couple more lights) before moving on to playing in full games.

Hold on, why did you send the PM after you finished and sent PM's?

No, play in this game. The only way you learn is from playing and bigs are different in many ways then lites.

I'm not sure what's going on regarding the PM issue, but for experience, I'd say you don't need to play multiple lites to play in a big. The difference is more in complexity rather than difficulty. My first werewolf game was a big in fact, and I won it.

Meant PMs for invites since Wagonlitz was bothering me about it earlier. And I prefer sending invites in locked convos.

Also, all invites have been sent out.

Sign ups close at 20:00 GMT on Monday, 1st night will take place Tuesday at 20:00 GMT.
