Any news on this? I've been watching this mod for the past couple months now, and I'd love to play it.
We're getting there. As always, the mantra is "it's ready when it's ready". However, I am pleased to report some recent progress, including fixes for two significant bugs, a much wider range of fiends (at least visually), illithids, and more unique static portraits.

I'll be posting a teaser post later this week.

So there was a lot of excitement recently for the Pterafolk of Chult. But Faerun has another tiny, isolated species of dinosaur-folk, too. It's time to say hello to the Saurials of the Lost Vale.

The Saurials were brought to Toril by the ancient god of decay, Moander, as part of his plan to return to prominence after a thousand years of slumber:

Moander was defeated by the synthetic warrior Alias and her saurial paladin companion, Dragonbait:

After Moander's fall, they were free to eke out their precarious existence on the edge of the great desert of Anauroch under a leader of their own choosing:

Good luck playing the most isolated tribe in Faerun!

How did they manage to defeat Moander? Did they flush him down a giant toilet after throwing huge toilet paper rolls into his mouth 3 times while he is singing opera?
Moander was banished to the Outer Planes and killed by Finder Wyvernspur, who then became a demigod himself.

The old CRPG Pools of Darkness had a sequence where you travelled to Moander's colossal body floating in the Astral Plane and explored it, while decaying bits of it tore themselves off and attacked you. Dead gods seldom sleep soundly.

We are indeed getting very close to a 0.3 release.

However, we would really like to recruit more modders. We're especially keen to work with people with lots of experience writing and debugging events. Our existing team is currently working flat-out on title and character histories, character graphics, traits, and the map. The mod is looking good, but it will really sing when more of the events are in and working, and for that we need expert hands.

If you're interested, please swing by the Discord and have a chat!

Thanks.

Very exciting work you guys did, pretty excited to play the final mod release. Keep up the awesome work!

I just have one thing I forgot to ask. Will the Ruler Designer be available? Not a deal-breaker if it's not available, it's just quality of life, y'know...
Yes. We also have a group of traits to enable you to play as half-races (half-elves, half-orcs, etc) who don't have their own cultures. So you can go wild and make your OC (do not steal).

Reactions:
To be honest, I was hoping that since Paradox finally finished developing ck2, modders would be able to make much quicker progress. Since patches and dlc have stopped complicating things would you say that's true? This is a shot in the dark, but do you think we will get a mod patch release before the quarantine is over? (lets say six months)

Yes, it's definitely true that work is proceeding faster now CK2 is mostly done. As discussed upthread, we've populated the whole map. As ever it's ready when it's ready, but yes, we're getting closer to release 0.3.

I can't wait for this mod, I have nothing to do. I'm not rushing you guys, I just mean I'm bored and excited. Please take your time.

You ever played "ori and the blind forest" ?
It's great. The sequal is also great.
Or watch Midnight gospel on Netflix. I watched it in one go yesterday, it's amazing.
There are TOOOOONS of great things to do play watch read.
I do share your sentiment though, and am also eagerly waiting for this mod.

I'm pretty picky. Besides that, you seem to be assuming I'm bored because of the corona virus.
My life is basically always like this. The quarantine is my normal. I'm disabled.
I ran out of time killers years ago, but being picky doesn't help.

What can i say? that sucks dude. I just wanted to share some things i've played and watched recently and really loved to death. I died 600 times
in Ori and the blind forest, and i loved every second of it.
Been following this mod for years, and there still isn't really a release date ( other than "soon", but it has been soon for a loooooong time ) so i'd figure i'd suggest some fun things you can do to pass the time.
Do you like books? Anime? Netflix series? games? manga? movies? SCP? Warhammer?
I love everything, and i'm sure i can think of stuff you will enjoy
