So I spent my entire inheritance on a spangled new m1 mac, and, as an epic gamer, I have a few games that I would like to play on it. Naturally, seeing as I own Crusader Kings III and it is natively supported on mac I decided to install it and give it whirl. To my complete horror it runs like a garbage fire trying to compete in the olympics. This should obviously not be the case considering how overkill the new macs are, so that's damn weird. I have found online that there is in fact no solution to this problem. For some reason the paradox devs decided to release a game natively on mac which is impossible to run natively on mac. ANYWAYS apparently a workaround to this is to just run the windows version through parallels because it uses a different graphics engine. However, I am unable to get the game to run beyond a black screen of pain, which is incredibly disappointing.
Whether or not there is a solution to the issue of running the game through Parallels though, I highly suggest that paradox removes the mac support of the game because this legitimately seems like false advertisement. If there is no such thing as a computer powerful enough to run the product, the product should not exist. I am aware that its not so simple as "remove mac support," but this is seriously a problem.
