1.0.4 can't install

Hi, i have HoI installed on D: drive.
I have WinXp
I have not installed directx 9

Problem: When i try to run the 1.0.4 patch, it says it cannot locate the game anywhere on my computer. Why???????
I bought the real game.

also, do i need to install the 1.0.3 patch before the 1.0.4?
I have the 1.02. NA version

Hi,

Make sure you have the correct patch!
This error is 95% caused by having the wrong version of the patch.

You only need to install the latest patch. (1.04)

If your CD came with version 1.02, then I doubt you have the NA version, since it was release with 1.00 on it.

What logo other than Paradox is on the CD?

I would also suggest looking through this thread. Several people had a similar problem, and found a solution to it.

Thanks guys, but i rummeged thru the posts and found I can just edit my Registry a bit.

Thanks alot though! It's a great game, but it gets a bit out of hand sometimes.

Only thing not working is the scenario editor.
