1.03c CTDs?

I get all those random CTDs the first 15-20 years and it's really annoying

Did you download the patch when it first came out? Johan updated the patch several days later after some sort of early game crash problem was discovered.

I've played my first 1.03c game (as the US), and I have played until 1858. No CTDs.

CTD = Crash to Desktop...

Yeah in the start it's pretty annoying to see all kinds of acronyms you don't know

hmm.. I don't really remember, but I think I waited a day or two.

Try re-installing the patch.

If this doesn't help, then try to find some pattern or cause in the CTDs; there isn't anything to go on if they appear random.

I have also found the 1.03c patch slightly less stable than 1.03b. (Got the later version 1.03c, not earlier.)
