No. As you can see my title here is just Moderator, who are all volunteers. Paradox staff have far mightier titles.
The thing is that we were made to wait two months, not that we're now waiting another four days.Come now, people can't wait four days?! even if they fixed it with a hotfix now, you would barely have time to play a full game before having the next patch mess up your savegame. I just turned off republics and Rome and am playing Muslim or other Christian rulers for now. Personally I don't see much difference, and I could care less about retinue. That's me , but I'm me.

Okay, forgive me my omission of "n't" , and I'll forgive your omission of an "a" in the phrase "is silly statement".I believe you mean that you *couldn't* care less. Could care less is silly statement. See this for why.

Really, specks and planks people. With all of the international representation on this forum, let's not try to be grammar police. We could be here all day.
I thought this thread was mainly a complaint about the saves not really working (game crash or save corruption) and there not being a hotfix for it. Not the republic crash, that one you can work around. Saves is a different story, disabling auto-saves helps. But it does not fix the issue. Adding mods on top of that makes it even worse.
You do realize that you just told paradox that it is very acceptable, by suggesting that you still might buy their next major title. Next patch is coming in the next couple of days, by the way..I'm very disappointed in Paradox with regards to the length of time these bugs have been unpatched, and as such will not be buying anything else from them until possibly EUIV. This is not acceptable to me as a consumer.

I do thnk part of the issue might be that fan expectations have been changing over time. Back in 2003 fans were pretty much okay with knowing that a game would probably be patched eventually. These days, most folks want a little more feedback than a silent assumption that a patch is in the works. Something as simple as a nice public statement along the lines of "We are aware of the bugs and are working to fix them, but our dev team has a lot of commitments on their time, including a release deadline for TOG. would've been nice.Though the lack of information regarding this was a bit astonishing, but not unusual.

The fix is coming tomorrow with the patch.
