Old paradox games used directdraw and directlay as middle layers.
But its been depreciated and abandoned by windows for quite a while.
So now SDL and RAK-NET where chosen as middle layers, which work on modern systems.

Great job! First thing I noticed was that the game works in windowed mode without having to switch to 16bit colour mode, this is something I've been wanting since the game was released .

The game works visibly slower, but you are probably working on that.
For some reason it crashes on F1 button press.

That is the problem. At this stage 1.11 is still relative to a clean installation of 1.10.
The current set 16 does use Beta8.

I think I got it working. Over 1.10, I installed the first DL, and that failed, but then installed your link over that, and it worked.
