1 - The scenario dynasties files are not used and instead a file in the db folder is used, however the same is used for all scenarios. It is interesting to have French dynasties in the catholic kingdom of Jerusalem but it can be strange to have people with Arabic first name and French family name on december 27th 1066 :D. Also when a province culture has changed, it would be good to have new characters with names related to the culture (A saxon province has been converted first to English culture and then Welsh and the courtiers that appear still have Saxon names). The only solution I found is to create another dynasties file but I have to edit the save game and change the included file every time I want to reload. Is there another way to have different dynasties files for different saves without editing several times?

2 - I created a knight order and used the tag U019 for this, when my grandmaster died, I thought I only needed to make the U019 tag selectable to play but I could not. I looked at the save game and I noticed that strangely the new grandmaster had the tag U018, I am unable to know why it happened, after changing this to U019 it worked well. Does someone know why it happened, or if there are hidden rules for the UXXX tags?

1) Alas dynasties are tied to the province, not to the culture. Other than changing the dynasty file every time you load there is no solution.

2) I can only assume something in the setup for this new tag was wrong. The U0XX tags function just like other kingdom tags.

There needs to be a mod with more neutral dynasty names. Most of the ethnic ones are not useful, and they are more often than not names that only appeared after the CK period. The current "of province" names are fairly neutral. The solution to the problem would be to spam dynasty names with "of x" with x representing localities inside the province, which is incidentally very realistic. E.g. "of Leuchars" as a dynasty name in Fife, "of Peterborough" in Lincoln and Cambridge, "of St Simeon" in Antioch, and so on.

Thank you jordarkelf, I had little hope for the dynasties. I rechecked and found nothing wrong for the U019 tag setup, I will have to see what happens when my new grandmaster dies.

Place names could be used for dynasties however they may change when cultures change like Eburacum->Eoforwic->Jorvik->York.
