259) FIXED 1.03: coward bug?

It's not a bug; you just have a neighbor with a high intrigue score who doesn't like you very much.
 
It would have to be very high. This was the first thing I checked when it happened in quick succession to one of my kings. He had intrigue of 8 and his spy master was 13. Just doesn't seem right.

The intrigue event that triggers the slander event (Slander of enemy is successful, event 1101 in lordship_events.txt) that labels you a coward doesn't - and can't - check your intrigue score. The intrigue score of the slandering neighbor has to be 7 or greater, unadjusted by his spymaster, since this is a character event. That event triggers the Vicious Slander event - event # 1960 - for the triggering ruler's worst neighbor. Maybe you shouldn't be such a bad boy. (Question for betas/Pardoxians - is worst_neighbor the neighbor with the lowest reputation, the lowest prestige, or what?)
 
Funny thing is... the only times I've received a slander was after a brutal battle(one where my leaders fought to the last man and one where outnumbered, we won a victory through attrition)

I get it a lot, as well. Several times to the same ruler sometimes. Probably should be tweaked back just a bit.
 
It should be toned down...
