Some initial scenario stuff - Hastings 1066

This is stuff you can see when you select the scenario, and is finding whomever you want to play.

Hastings 1066

Kingdom: Sweden. - Dual listing of 2 count titles.
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug, Dual listing of two count provinces under SWED.

Kingdom: Spanish Galicia – does not center on the provinces it owns. Centers mid map.
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug.
Well you got me there, the problem lies in both Capital = {} and Province = {} but this list is suspiciously strange and I suspect that there is many more bugs in this list.
You might want to take a good long look at these two lists.

Kingdom: France – image shows he has Riems too, he doesn’t
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Again Province = {} I think.

Duchy: Anjou – Does not show correct province he owns, lists 2 counties he does not own, and does not list he’s a Duke
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Capital = {} and Province = {} for display and under ANJO for incorrect listed titles / provinces.

Duchy: Bavaria – Displays wrong provinces he owns.
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Province = {}

Duchy: Bourgogne – Displays wrong provinces he owns.
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Province = {}

Duchy: Braganza – Displays wrong provinces he owns.
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Province = {}

Duchy: Champange – Displays wrong provinces he owns.
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Province = {}

Duchy: Karnten – Displays wrong provinces he owns and centers on wrong province
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Capital = {} and Province = {}

Duchy: Lower Lorraine – Does not center on province he owns, but mid map. Same as Kingdom of Spanish Galicia. Some numbers are missing
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Capital = {} and Province = {}

Duchy: Milano – Does not center on province he owns, but mid map. Same as Kingdom of Spanish Galicia. Some numbers are missing
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Capital = {} and Province = {}

Duchy: Normandy – Displays wrong provinces he owns. Does not show correct character image.
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Province = {}
The character is underage in the game, but not at the startup. Problem = unknown, code maybe??

Duchy: Plamyra –This guy is not a Duke, but a Muslim Emir! Btw shows wrong character image too. But that’s ok I guess, cause he should not be here in the first place I guess.
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Setup

Duchy: Pisa –This guy is not a Duke but a King.
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Wrong title under PISA or all the other setup if you don’t want him as King.

Duchy: Poitou – Does not display correct province he owns. Count title missing and he is not Duke of Bordeaux as primary but Duke of Poitou (though still duke of Bordeaux too)
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Province = {} and wrong setup under POIT

Duchy: Swabia – Displays wrong provinces he owns and centers on wrong province
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Capital = {} and Province = {}

Duchy: Thuringia – Does not center on province he owns, but mid map. Same as Kingdom of Spanish Galicia. Some numbers are missing
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Capital = {} and Province = {}

Duchy: Toscana – Displays wrong provinces SHE owns. Quite a challenge to play her, as the only way to continue is with a random generated cosine. Finally found a real purpose for them :D
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Province = {}

Duchy: Toulouse – Displays wrong provinces he owns.
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Province = {}

Duchy: Verona – Does not center on province he owns, but mid map. Same as Kingdom of Spanish Galicia. Some numbers are missing
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Capital = {} and Province = {}

Duchy: Vladimir – Does not show correct character image.
The character is underage in the game, but not at the startup. Problem = unknown, code maybe??

Count: Abydos – Does not center on province he owns, but mid map. Same as Kingdom of Spanish Galicia. Some numbers are missing
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Capital = {} and Province = {}

Count: Adana – Does not show correct character image.
Hmm there is many like this. Is there two ways to translate the dna code in the source code? Sure seems like it! So I will not list these cases anymore.

Count: Amiens – Display is missing provinces he owns
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Province = {}

Count: Auvergne – Does not center on province he owns, but mid map. Same as Kingdom of Spanish Galicia. Some numbers are missing

Count: Frisia – Display is missing provinces he owns.
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Province = {}

Count: Nurnburg – Does not center on province he owns, but mid map. Same as Kingdom of Spanish Galicia. Some numbers are missing
Problem = 1066_scenario.eug. Capital = {} and Province = {}

Count: Pereyaslavl – Likely a set-up bug. This guy is a count of 2 province laying 2000km apart!!
Quite likely related directly to that the province, Romny (403), also is misplaced in the Province area (Province.cvs), as described here;
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?t=144439
-btw could this thread get a bug number? and be re-registered in the bug thread? It once was, but because a mod merged it with another thread, it was listed as invalid link for a while, and now nomore figure in the bug thread?!?
While we are at those bugs, bug 199 and 280 is one and the same!
Anyway it seems like the province once lay in another place.
Problem = General setup.

I think that was it :)
As I said earlier, you might wanna take a serious look at Capital = {} and Province = {} in 1066_scenario.eug, cause it does have a few bugs.

There's dark and light character images, chosen according to the character's culture. I've already started a thread about the images that don't match between the selection screen and in-game. The problem is that culture isn't encoded into the scenario header, and the game takes the culture information for the selection screen from province.csv, where Adana and other provinces that are under Byzantine or Georgian control in 1066 are defined as culture muslim.

Here is a neat trick for you. Load up the 1066 scenario, save it straight away, then quit the game. Open up the 1066 eug file and have a look (just so you know what you are looking for), then go into the saved game and copy the information into the eug file from the saved game. Save the eug file and restart CK, everything should look ok. Please note you cannot save the eug file if CK is running.

NICE! very very nice!
Corrects almost everything. The only ones I can see that does not get corrected are Kingdoms. King that are really Dukes, or Dukes that are really Kings.
Counts/dukes are corrected tho.

This trick and a little hand-editing and they are all done in 10 min :)

Logged.

I am not sure all the scenario set-up bugs in this thread (e.g. Pereyaslavl) have been dealt with.
