5000 year-old Arryn Red Wedding?

In the family tree of House Arryn, above the "line of Artys (III) Arryn"-character, I found something interesting. Artys III was the younger son of Artys II, his eldest son and presumed heir died before receiving the throne. I inspected further and saw that this Elys Arryn was actually murdered on a fateful day in 3054, approximately 5000 years before Aegon's landing. Huh, I thought, interesting. But probably nothing special. Then I inspected other characters, including Elys' children, who were one by one all murdered on the very same day as their father was. The plot thickens, however, as furthermore children of the more senior Arryn line of King Robar were also all murdered in 3054. In total, I count 12 murdered family members, with Artys III with a very likely motive. I tried to look this up on the wikis, but I couldn't find anything on it. Is this just a fun little addition by the modders?

Although it is not said how they died and who killed them, it says they were murdered, so it really looks like the Red Wedding before it was cool.

I think there may be more about these events in the book of A World of Ice and Fire, but sadly I do not have it with me right now.

During gameplay, Arrin males simply don't marry until they're in their 30's and when they make childs majority die in childhood or because "they never lived"

I take it as a challenge to always ensure there is an Arryn ruling the Vale when I'm not playing them.

What? That makes no sense, if it contributes to their extinction.

I think it may have been hardcoded to always lead to the Little Robin scenario.

I usually invite an Arryn over to my court, marry him to one of my daughters, and press the claim after they push out a few babies. Rinse and repeat if they start dying off.

The historic Arryns all dying were put in, as Pukovnik guessed. To simulate what happened with Alyssa Arryn.

Her husband, brothers and children all died in front of her on the same day and she didn't shed a tear. My personal canon is that her husband-cousins younger brother did it. The one who became King.

I thought I was the only one where the Arryns always loose the Vale, most of the time it is from failed rebellions while the other rebels just get pardoned but the Arryns... they get ruined every save I have. As someone said earlier I keep an Arryn in my court or sometimes grant him a minor Lordship just to keep them going and from dying out. I don't claim the Vale in their name, rather use their children and marry them to 2nd or 3rd sons and then place a member of my house as the LP-consort of the Vale.. eventually a member of my house will rule.

Ha, sounds like how I play CK2. Countless heirs die until I finally inherit, then the mysterious killings suddenly stop. I wonder who could've done it?
