A noob question about Pagans and Muslims

So, I got this game a week ago. I really liked it and still do. But something I have liked alot with Eu3 is that you can play as small pagan tribes that would have been annexed at the first sight of europeans and turn them into a gigantic empire. I was wondering if there's some mod out there that allows you play as Pagans, Muslims and Jews? Would really be great.

For 1.05 I know there was a mod .. but I think all links to that are broken. As far as I know there is no such mod for DV. Sadly so ... we cross fingers for this possibility in CK2

No, that mod (Divine Shadows one) was only available for CK 1.04. You can download it from here

Oookay, I can't help but notice that there is no mod folder for CK. How do you install?

The mod contains a readme file

This mod allows you to play as a muslim, pagan etc and have all the abilities of a catholic so you can :
Grant Titles (No longer included in mod due to paradox adding this function anyway)
Creates Titles
Grab Titles
Save your country to *selectable* list of countries instead of having to edit the save each time

Basically this allows you to select any faction to play as and you can do all the things a catholic can do if you
pick a pagan, muslim etc country.

Extract to CK folder overwrite the files already there backup if you want.

Run "CK15Mod.exe" patch your exe and go play.

Looking at it it seems like this one will work with 1.05 to

Help!

So, I've been playing as Tribe of Tavasts(Finnish Pagans). Been very fun to try out pagans for the first time, but I have a problem. I can't grab titles! It always says that I need XXX prestige even though I have like double that! Anyone know why?

Pagans, jews, and muslims are not supposed to be playable, so the game code prevents them from grabbing titles. No known workaround.
You'll have to edit your savegame and make yourself a Christian.

If you want to play as a pagan in DV it's not too hard. You have to add your country to the list of playable countries at the top of the save-file. Entries look like this:

    [b]C003[/b] = { 
        gender = male 
        type = county 
        dna = "87797514643286" 
        title = { C003 } 
        }

C003 is a tag. Just change that tag to whatever non-playable country you wan to play and everything will work fine. Tavasts is TAVA, so the new entry would be:

    [b]TAVA[/b] = { 
        gender = male 
        type = county 
        dna = "87797514643286" 
        title = { C003 } 
        }

The load screen will be really weird, but as long as you click on the Tavasts' shield you'll be fine.

You will have to do this every time you load the game, tho, which is kind of a pain. But it does work for anything -- Bishops, Republics, heathens, whatever.
