A World To Win BETA is up. Head on over to the main thread(link in my signature) to download it. If it is not up immediately, that will because I'm uploading it as I type this thread post.

I need people to play test:

- An alternate Spanish Civil War, in which France and Britain support the Nationalists, instead of the Republicans.

-the Third American Civil War

-an alternate WW2

I know that I was supposed to release it by December, but I broke down and wanted to share the it with the gaming community earlier. Point out any bugs, things for me to fix, and other ills on the main forum thread for a world to win.

I will love to hear your suggestions. Please pm if you want to help add to the game. Things that you can help on:

-AI

-Techs for various nations

-events

etc.

tell me what you think either here or on my official thread.

Things yet to be added(to be released in next version):

-more units for the third Reich(for balancing)
-a more intricate Third American Civil War
-U.S 1936 election wherein everyone's favorite King Fish can get elected for some unexpected results!(Huey P. Long)
-More intricate WW2
-and much, much more.

I feel that this version is in no way representative of the "real" version. But alas, I hope you enjoy the mod. I poured months into it(heck, a year almost). Half credit goes to Ostheim, who really helped a ton on the mod work.

There will be bugs and game play balances, yet I improved a bunch of stuff from the last time I had released it.

REASONS FOR RELEASING EARLY:

I felt that I would release it early to get actual feedback. I feel that It won't be good if I work on it for a long time, with no one else feed backing it. Plus, i don't have the time to play through the whole game and play test myself. That's what beta testing is for.

Enjoy, and I am proud that I was able to get this far, whereas many mods just get announced and are never seen again.

Congratulations on your work, I'll try it as soon as I get some free time. And it's 1 of December today so technically you released it exactly on time :p

As of now I am reading an excellent biography on Huey P. Long, entitled King Fish: The Reign of Huey P. Long

When I finish it(it's only about 260 pages in length), I will insert elections for '36 that will Allow the King Fish to be elected over Roosevelt. Rest assured he will not simply be a "fascist", which I find highly unrealistic of the man himself.

If you noticed a lack of Soviet Union purge events, that is because of in this Alternate timeline, Joseph Stalin is not as paranoid(way less so) then in OTL. This is because without the threat poised by Nazi Germany, and with the European revolutions having exceeded all expectations, he has no reason to off his officers.

Furthermore, you will notice(in version 2) a change in the behavior of Soviet policy. "Socialism in One Country" doesn't exist. The revolutions in Europe ended Soviet isolation, and by 1936 Stalin is working around the clock to support and spread revolutions around the world.

"Britannia" is named so as to feed into the nationalist sentiment of British citizens, primarily this is an allusion to fascist Italy in OTL, which exploited nationalist, ancient terminology for its own ends.

in this timeline, "fascist Italy" is little more then a puppet of the French, to serve as an inglorious buffer between Communist-ruled Italy and fascist France.

The American Commune is the only democratic Socialist state in the world at this time, and supported by the Fourth International, yet can take the authoritarian route through a completed event chain.

Ok I made an simple game as Hungary and here's some stuff I noticed:

-Before the war there are plenty of nation "deserting" their side, for example in my game Canada and The third reich left the fascist alliance, this must be adressed
-The fascists are too weak, maybe it was the lack of german reich but beating them was an cakewalk.

Also put an fall of france event on your priority list since France keeps fighting after metropolitan France fell.
Can't really say much about America, besides their events fired correctly and the Commune was defeated after some months.

What is this mod about? A communist America? Sacrilege!

I found out, or at least I think, that is a holdover from vanilla, where Canada and S. Africa, etc. rejoin the alliance after the start of WWII. I will fix it soon. easy as pie.

Partly the fault of Nazi Germany, partly the fault of the [I feared] over-powered monstrosity that is the German Red Army. Will be fixed soon when I get around to it

It's about a much more successful period of European Revolution post-First world war.. America went red only on account of the fact that I was trying to make the game more interesting and fun. I thought about removing a Communist America, and maybe adding something like a Communist insurgency(not an actual nation in game), but decided against it.

Please, read the premise in my main thread page.

Will do that soon.

ya, I feared a game balancing issue with the Third American Civil War. Will be fixed.
