I wanted to do AARs for HoI, but somehow I kept returning to EU2. Maybe CK, with its similar theme, and a lot of character focus (so it seems), can draw attention more than HoI could? :)

I will certainly go for the line of the Counts of Barcelona.

I do like AARs, but only to read them...

I don't have the courage to start one myself, but I admire who does it...:)

I'll certainly AAR like crazy with CK. :)

And, I suppose the Fairhair dynasty of Norway is the first one I'll do.

Most others will naturally focus on Byzantium, the English or French.

I will definitely be doing CK AARs. Where I'll start....who knows? Probably one of the dynasties of northern or central France.

I'd try and recreate Frederick Barbarossa's Hohenstauffen empire. Make sure the empire stays Holy (well, within reason) and Roman.. (i.e, controls Rome with an iron fist).

This is the way I am too. I don't read too many AARs anymore. Most of them are well written (probably why I don't want to show my poor writing skills) but too well written - if that makes any sense. Too much BAR (before action report) - I don't want to read 3 pages of flowery prose to find out the name of the Venetian Doge etc.

This is in no way a criticism of those who craft these well written AARs.:)

Have you read "Baudolino" by Umberto Eco? There might be some good inspiration there. :)

Sonny, as an AAR writer I do of course take that remark as an enormous insult! I now have a 24 month CB on you. :D

I've only written for family and friends before, and that was a while ago. It's too intimidating writing for the public, especially as an unknown. Once I grow a pair, tho', who knows... :)

Come on you non-AAR people! As long as your English is comprehensible, people will read your AAR. And bloody well like it.

MrT- That sounds like you. I'll have to do some french AARs later on, but I always do HRE-Iberian-English in my games for AARs. EU and EU2 are counting as one game in this analysis.

Havard- Judging by past experience, you'll finish, as you've kept posting. (Albeit slowly. ;) )

Norg- You sound more patriotic than I expect socialists to be (In general). Anyway, I look forward to it.
