OK with me, I just hope Dag returns, he said he had a flight to Stockholm tonight.

Im available today monday 10th but I wont make it before 18.20 due to a RL emergency.

If we cant play today I suggest we ditch this game since its obvious the player group have no possiblity of planning common playing times.

I'm available to play tonight and think that we should attempt to play something as Monday is the main night for this group and we didn't do anything last week.

If we abort or suspend the current game and start another then I'm voting for 41 again. I've played this twice recently - two player as Germany/Russia and solo as UK. Both games were quite interesting. The main merit of this scenario is that everyone starts at war and so everyone gets to participate actively from the start. And because the emphasis is upon war rather than peace, there is less opportunity to break the game with ahistorical research. And there's a better chance of actually finishing the game. I'm not sure how balanced it is but the Russian front seemed quite even to me. And I doubt that anyone can really say what it's like without playing it using the 1.05c patch, which changes so much.

One issue is whether we are using the picture pack (there is a recent new version). This is not a standard part of my 1.05c install (because it's not standard). And it may have major effects upon balance - I read that it gives the UK a mass combat minister, for example. This is a big deal in this scenario because manpower is tight for most nations.

But it's important to standarize to avoid crashes so we should be clear about whether we are using it or not and, if so, which version.

Usually we play every monday, but last week one went on vacation. 1-2 sessions a week is fine with me.

We could delay tonight's session to 19:00 CET to allow for Dag to get a standin and juv to get ready.

I'm positive to the 41 scenario, at least if it has changed since last time we tried it (1.03b I think).

Im fine with continuing or starting a new one. After 10 DEG camapigns starting in 1936 Im fine with an alternative scenario as well...

EDIT:
Im back and the time is 18:30
Tell me via ICQ when we should start. Need 5 minutes to start up game etc...

I'd really love to continue this game. Furthermore, I'm optimistic that the great Red Army will repell the fascistic aggression without the help of any degenerate capitalistic nation.

So in other words - I think we should continue anyway - either with a standin or US as a AI nation. Alternatevly Tomar could take over US, but probably he would be more effectiv as UK now and later commanding / switching over to US.

Ok lets continue at 19:00 CET without USA (unless we get a standin at this short notice).

I should be able to play USA next week as well, 90& sure anyhow.

I can play Friday before next monday.

I can play wednesday and friday before monday...

Summary:

Germany managed to liberate Finland and Leningrad while sustaining serious losses around Smolensk. Reserves that were needed on the Eastern Front were loitering around the newly conquered Gibraltar. The Red fleet is no more and German panzers are nearing Moscow. Rumania has taken severe losses on the Battelfield and the front is now solely guarded by German troops. The Russo-Japanese border seem to be all quite. Africa and the middle east is being overrun by the Italians. In september 1940 the USA seems to be preparing for war.

What do I have to do? Send you 50k oil, rubber, coal, steel, and supplies to get a DoW? ;)

I can't play any day except next Monday, and that only 90%, but heck, I'm a temp replacement player so whatever works for you all. :)

Next week Im in Stockholm working and I'm not sure if I will be able to play but I will examine what options I have. In any case its not sure Im able to host.

Friday is OK for me.
