Hi there,

I'd like to know whether or not it's possible to create a new ethic that can be chosen. As it stands, you choose ethics through a 'wheel' which is a little bit different from the way you select traits, which comes in a big list that is naturally fairly easy to add new things to. I'd like to create a few custom ethics that could in turn lead to new types of government, but my attempts at adding a new ethic manually failed. Are the currently available ethics hard coded, or is there a trick to adding a new ethic to the 'wheel' so to speak?

Thanks!

It's is actually possible to add new ethic icons to the wheel - you just have to re-arrange the "wheel" which is possible through customize_species_editors.gui, in Interface folder. But you might have to disable all the other mods which interact with customize_species_editors.gui. If you have further questions how to do it, ask me privately.

So you can add a bunch of new ethics, but the problem is that only one of them can be chosen at the same time - apparently you can't assign your own "ethic categories", so game doesn't know which of your ethics belong to the same scale and which are "opposite" to each other. Which is kinda discouraging.
