AI badboy rate = weird

Hmmm, I wanted to check my Badboy rate as Brandenburg (53 btw, 2nd high after Spain with 74), I found some strange things.
France and Poland e.g. both have 0, which is normal as they havent declared war on anybody without a reason. BUT, Sweden has a rate of 0 also, and they attacked me already 3 times, each time without a reason, even breaking a royal marriage once...
HUH? Is the AI Badboy rate 'cheating' somehow..?

Well, BB rating does sink after a couple of years, but not that rapidly..sadly...

Yes, i checked out, and through the game they got a permanent casus belli against me
I guess they didnt like my Brandenburgian empire bordering their capital after having kicked some Danish butt

I just took over two providences in England, and found that Scottland had cassus belli for me, when before, they never did. Why can't I arbitrarily decide that I have permenant cassus belli against someone?

Because Scotland starts the game with CB shield's in those provinces. Meaning that it was their land before the game began, and they still view it as land that is properly theirs, and unjustly deprived of them. Hence they have a CB against whatever unjust oppressor is occupying that land.

It is important to check these shiedls on the Politcal Map view. For example, as Russia I have a free CB vs Crimea...well actually not. I have a free CB on some of their provinces. As long as I don't annex those provinces I will have a free CB but once I've taken them all, I don't. Makes a difference in the way I plotted by expnasion into the Crimea (I left one CB shielded province until the very bitter end at annexation).

Because it isn't arbitrary. U coudl always let France take one of ur hoem provinces. Then u'll get a permanent CB till u get that province back.
