ai do not fulfil betrothals made in the history files

Description​

betrothals predefined in the history files, i.e. ones that exist on game start (bagsecg and ivars daughter, solomon of hungary and the salian hre princess, etc) are never fulfilled. the ai just remain unmarried until one of them dies

Steps to reproduce​

start a game and pay close attention to a character who has a betrothal predefined in the history files. speed 5 until both parties are of age

I've test this and they do get married when the spouse turn adult, do you have a mod that could be messing with this ?

no. or, well, yes, but i turned off all mods and tested it and it was still happening

i think it might be related to the broader marriage bug that seems to only be affecting a select lucky few. most players report the first hotfix having sorted it out completely, but ive made another bug report thread and had it confirmed that it is still very much occuring for me and a handful of others

okay now that im trying to get a save recreating it im not getting the issue. this has been consistent up until just now when i tried to get evidence, where i had three back to back runs where this didnt happen. why did paradox interactive studios implement a system to pick on me specifically

like im getting plenty of the regular betrothal issues - ludwig the younger got a fabulous she event and has remained betrothed to an unlanded wandering hindu kamrupi woman for 14 years, having bastards with her but refusing to actually get married. this has been a problem since launch and i dont see it getting fixed anytime soon. but this other issue ive had to manually solve now countless times isnt happening

thinking back on it now, usually one or both of the characters has had a change in title tier when this issue occurs. if bagsecg becomes king of denmark, he drags his heels marrying ivars daughter aslaug. maybe i misidentified this and its, like, just the regular betrothal issues? the ai realises its unwilling to fulfil the marriage and remains betrothed until one of them dies? either way im getting kind of sick of trying to make it happen again so i guess we can just mark this thread as a bust
