more troops in FRANCE
can some give me an idea how to get more german troops in france every time i invade theres hardly no troops there,

ive been messing around with the ai files but carnt really understand them
i need help with,

say i want 5 divisons on garrison duty in paris what do i need to edit,

Please give more details. I am confused about what country you are playing and the year, version of the game, etc.

I am guessing that you are one of the allied countries trying to invade German occupied France? Or, maybe something else entirely?

I don't know of an easy way to describe what to do. Even if we knew the details of what country and year it is complicated by the various ai switches.

Here's some suggestions:
1. Look at the modding page on the HOI2 Wiki. See General Modding Guides at this link.
2. Sound like you want to mod AI behavior. Look in these two places where you installed the game: \ai\switches and db\events, and db\ I think the files you will need to modify will be there.
3. Consider asking your question again on the modding subforum. More expertise there than here.
4. Try a mod like TRP for example that may already do what you are looking for. You can find out more about each mod at the above HOI2 link.

i was playing as usa, and when it comes to dday there hardly no units in france so iam trying to make it a bit more realistic. i want to have a few divisions in paris so its not easy to capture, ive been using world in flames paltinum
