All Paradox Games minimizing on launch cause crash

I've been having this issue with all my paradox games where when I launch them, they immediately minimizing on launch which crashes the game. I've uninstalled and reinstalled all my game and they all face this problem and I have my DXDIAG posted.

Any reason for this? It's ridiculous and its ONLY paradox games, no other game I have has this problem...

Is this with the Paradox launcher or steam?

I load the launcher from steam but yes, when i press play from the launcher the minimizes and crashes.

This is almost certainly due to the large Windows update that came down in May, which affected many of our games.

Do check that your video driver is installed okay and up to date, as the Windows update messed up some people's video driver installations:

One further thing you could try is to edit the settings.txt files of each game, and set fullScreen=no and borderless=no , as some people have reported that helped.

If still no good, right-click on the game's .exe and select Properties, Compatibility, and tick "Disable Fullscreen Optimisations". Apply and exit.

And finally, in the same screen you can try setting Windows 8 Compatibility on. Or even Win XP SP3 compatibility.
