Annoying mp problem

Every time I'm going to play a multiplayer game, my username is an old, obsolete and obscure thing that I don't want to use. I keep changing it every time, but it keeps resetting itself back to the name I don't want to use.

How do I change it once and for all?

If you exit the game normally (using the "Exit" button from the intro screen), the game stores the username you last set in the MP window. So, go to multiplayer, enter the name you want, hit the "Back" button, exit the game. Then restart and you should see the name you entered. Don't change that before exiting the game and that should stay the same.
