The boonies here in Colorado was the first place in the U.S. to get cable internet, which I'm quite thankful for.
So what version is everyone running? 1.05 by then I'm assuming... I suppose I'll have to go and get to downloading that now.

Well reasonable US times usually means unreasonable over here in Europe. However depending on when I hope can join any way. I have quite flexible jobhours except for 03.00-07.00 CET (GMT +1) and my girlfriend just has to accept me conquering Europe whenever I want.
I am running 1.05 and I would very much prefer VHard difficulty so that the AI present some form of opposition. But I'm flexible here as well.
I have never played a multiplayer game before... are any houserules needed? If so any suggestion?

The main rule in MP, is try not to get annexed As then we have to stop go back to vnet and pick you up again. You think this is a joke, but I have actually seen it happen often

Hehehe yes avoid being annexed is always my own main houserule. Also when playing solo I avoid use some loopholes such as loansharking the AI. There are also a couple of more thingies I can't remember now.
Now I am not neccessarily against it. I just think that it would look kindy foolish if everybody else used these loopholes while I wouldn't.

So who all is good for this game? And what day/time is good for everyone? I'm GMT -7, and tomorrow (Tuesday) is good for me after GMT 1800 or so. Wednesday is kind of busy until about noon my time (7pm or 1900 in Europe), and the rest of the week I have off.

I don't use the loopholes either. The only thing I will do, is sometimes if am bored. I will allow my BB value to rise then wait until all the minor AI countries around me declare war on me I either force-vassalize them or annex them. It's nice, saves you having to take the stab hit to DOW them.
I am GMT -5, I can play anytime besides Tues-Wed 9pm-2am EST as I have a continuatuon GC at that time.
I just caught wind of the upcoming game from Prince Bub and wonder if there's room for another player.
