Have seen couple posts on same subject with no solution.... ive deleted local content and reinstalled with no fix, ive verified cache files with no fix...

Delete local content again, but now go to your My Documents area and delete the CK2 folders there too. Now install again from Steam, it ought to work.

If not please post your dxdiag.txt, settings.txt, system.log and error.log files (you'll need to rename the .log files to .txt to upload). Also open setup.log, search for "checksum", and paste that line only in here.
