Armageddon problem, cant reinstall

Hi you probably have hollyday since people who entered problems as early as 10 july without any help.
Any way my Armageddon that I uninstalled 6 mounth ago cant get installed again. The install window just give uninstall and play as options. I went thrue regfix and regedit but I havent solved the problem.
I want to play Core 0.40 before hoi3 came out.

Same Problem

Hello everybody,

I also wanted to play CORE 0.40 before HOI3 came out and can't get Doomsday to repair or install. I followed the sticky note's instructions and did "regedit" to delete the HOI2 and Doomsday keys. Then I deleted the Paradox Interactive directory on the C drive to get rid of HOI2, DD and ARM folders. Finally I went to the InstallShield Installation hidden file and deleted all files that dealt with the three games. That should have cleared out everything and allowed the loading of new data.

When I put the DD disk in, I could click Install -> Repair and it would give me a Component Transfer Error every time with the core files saying the parameter is incorrect. When I chose Uninstall -> Repair or Install -> Remove, I would get the Component Transfer Error with the core files in catastrophic error.

It's frustrating to have to manually clear out rogue files, but doubly more so when the effort fails. Does anyone have any idea what other steps I can take? This is my vacation week and I was hoping to conquer the world...
