Armagedon go slow/Phanton Navy

1)When i play after 1941/42, the game start to go Slowy.I cant buy more ram(i have 320 MB), What i can do to improve performance?

2)Here is a tool to clean the "Phanton Navys" of a save file?I mean, the AI create navy whitout ship and them overload the ram and the cpu
