My favourite example is when USA with powerful navy starts a play against Mexico backed by, say, russia. Then it lets 300k russians deploy to the frontline completely unopposed, which would obviously not happen irl, and which also nullfies an important gameplay aspect. It would make vastly more sense history and gameplay wise to be only able to deploy to frontlines after war breaks out

Hopefully this will be helped with the logistics Improvement that the devs are working on.

Preventing deploying to fronts until war starts would cause other problems, especially in the World War type scenarios where all the GPs go to war with each other due to a nest of alliances.

I feel like the main culprit here is the ridiculously long time before a play turns into war. 100 days, plus potentially many other extensions when goals are added, make it fairly easy to sail around the entire world before a war even starts. Compare this to the Russo-Japanese War, where the Baltic fleet didn't even arrive until basically all the fighting was done!
