Hi, I hope someone can help me here. I have found an ancient artifact in the tunnels below ground an was told to build an interface. I build that and it works fine, but now the game tells me to *make an upgrade* to the Interface. But I have no option to do that in the menu of the interfacee. There is no form of research for an upgrade and I searched for anomalies that could trigger something to give me progress. I think I have already cleared the whole area and found nothing that leads to an upgrade. I suggest I have encountered a bug, but to be sure, I want to ask how to trigger the upgrade. Should there be an option right away at the interface? Or have I missed some vital component? I hope someonme can help me.

At least for me the option to upgrade the interface was there from the beginning as soon I completed the interface. It's an upgrade to the building, so select the interface and there is an icon for upgrading the interface where normal buildings have their upgrades (polymer blades for wind turbines, etc.) I can't remember the icon they actually used for that, vaguely remember something like a gear icon, but I don't have access to my game right now so I can't check.

Thanks for the reply. Sadly, the button is missing. And i do't think, that they just changed the process yoou described, so it seems that I have encountered a bug. I think I will play along and try to deconstruct the interface and place it again. Perhaps this will reset the issue.
Are you quite sure, since I was playing the game just a week ago and it was there?
There's the line about the ugrade and the icon is on the left end of that line. I missed it at first as well.

No, it is really missing, I had the option just above the line about drones and below the main text box. So that is definitely a bug, go report it over on the bug reports forum.
