If single core is a tortoise, multicore is two (or four, six, eight...) tortoises. No more, no less.

You're forgetting the mighty chariot hooked to the tortoises.

pretty bad analogy.

Let's use a sweatshop analogy instead.

1 worker can make 1 shoe/hour
8 workers can make 8 shoes/hour

it would essentially mean that the games run a bit smoother, but most importantly the games won't require as much horsepower.

Pulling numbers out of my ass now, but say a 2.2 ghz dual core could do the same job as a 3ghz single core.

Ever since we started development on HoI3 we have looked to bring multicore support into our games. This quest continues and someday we will bring you the mighty multicore Clauswitz engine.
Hmmm. I'd assumed that you'd be holding off with multicore until development of the next engine. Might you be using Clausewitz for another five or six years?

I think we'll have multicore support in Clausewitz before we start planning for a new engine. But I'm just the community manager, what do I know?

Perhaps they're working to put it into CK2? ;)

So who are the new Paradox Dev Team members?

1. Dark Reknown (Congrats! ^_^)
2. Captain Gems or something.

Anyone else?

You're supposed to be our spy into the inner workings of Paradox! :)

(I was actually assuming that the goal was to cover the most distance. Tortoises plowing a field or something.)

If you downloaded them from GamersGate you can find them in "my games" at www.gamersgate.com. I'm not sure how it works with other dl services

You misunderstood me completly there,
i was just showing off my (small) photoshop skills by putting together 2 pictures,
it was completly unrelated to the topic (well maybe not, but i say so) :D

Great news! Uncertain, but great news anyway :)

Crusader Kings does not have a code, Revolutions just have a code if you get it from gamersgate. You should be able to register Hoi3 though. Where you can find that code depends on where you bought the game.

What is the point of the checksum? I have magna terra mod for Rome and I can't get same checksum as my friend when we try to play multiplayer. Also EU3 multiplayer is sometimes pain in the ass..

It gives you a code unique to that version/mod, so if you don't have the same checksum you are playing different versions.
