Bourbon Jan 1936 - June 1937
With the years of Depression still fresh in the minds of Bourbon's people, they were quick to see a fix when Emperor Mighty G donned himself overlord of that there Gaullic State, till he be nuked from his seat.
Diplomatic relations were quickly pursued with surrounding countries whilst contacts of importance were also sort and unsort in other regions of the world. It quickly became apparent with a potential Arming of the 4 Great Powers (UK, Prussia, Bourbon and Roma) that the first place and most likely Flashpoint/Spillway was in Benelux and Switzerland. With the new Kaiser in Prussia rumoured to be a Megalomaniac Dictator it was thought most probable that any major threat to Bourbon's precious sovereignity would come from the Ruhr region.
Infact Bourbon planning hit a major snag when the Ottoman Empire where the first to declare war over lands their forefathers had never bared witness too deep in the African heartlands. The public fresh with propoganda of grandeur and the assurances quickly rallied to the factories (and brothels). The Rearmement progress had now begun, but the Elite inner cabinet were concerned for loss of IC in Africa and heavily lobbied for the construction of major infantry formtions in Africa. This proposal was shut down quickly when APR joined sides with UK and ROMA and cut off the 1 province linking our empire to the Ottoman Empire. Fear still endured as Ottomans made rapid gains in ROMA occupied Libya but no major planning was given thought at this stage of an incursion into the region.
The Prussian Emperor and myself meet to discuss the Future of Benelux and the rightful placement of holdings in Europe, notably those in ROMA. War is agreed upon over the Communist's and renegade Facists. Demand of lands Bourbon considers it's are heard by the Kaiser and agreed upon.
Within 2 weeks of the war commensing Benelux and Switzerland had fallen (given it did take much longer to march to CHAR). At this point i also decided to take Milan which was not discussed with the Prussian Kaiser, and im sure itll become a point of topic within 30's.
MY main thought of it was for balance i wouldd be down IC and Prussia steam rolling ahead after Roma/Cossacks-Russia/and Sweden fall to the jackboots of Prussian Hordes. Im guessing Prussia's total IC is perhaps to be 600+ after perhaps 5-10yrs. For a fledging democracy like myself it is better to avoid war (and oh my Nevill Chamberlain God) appease your Facist neighbours!
At this point i consolidated my position and gave Prussia a decent lump of energy in return for rares and a promise to negociate Milan later once Roma has capitulated. With a keen sense that agreements by both sides were proceeding well i quickly looked to my Southern Flanks.
Some ships were sold to Australasia. Kill the Squints.
At some point point the 20th Armour corp had been deployed and an entire Tank battalion was order to Africa to kill the skinnys along with several Infantry Expedition units and Chuck Norris. My MjG1 that routed 3 enemy armour Corp and gained 3Skill he wouldnt accept a promotion to FM1 (But i think he likes it where the action is
). Details of one of my FM becoming a Desert Rat and Ranger have echoed in from the field but the individual was yet to be identified.
More armour to Africa, offensive north of the Great Deserts proove how Strong Bourbon is 15 Divisions hold off 30 1 province from encirclement. A counter attack ensues and leaves East African task Group1 in control of Alexandria and the head of the Nile. The position since stymies with no progress from either side.
West Africa rages with 500 Tanks in battle on all fronts, Outnumbered considerably against varions 'factional' opponants. Not all battles are won but the War is making solid Progress, so well that command has approved the construction of additional formations of elite divisions and Air Support units.
Libertadores DOW APR, at this point im ok with that im hugely outnumbered over a front as long as my E-Shlong and i welcome the agreement the Communists and myself have made over land divisions. The front is stabilising rapidly with lots of small pockets every so often and the front is still waiting for the 1st Armour Exped to arrive from deployment to assist the 1st Arm Bt and seal the deal.
Many numbers are still needed to finish the job in a occupational push on West Africa. Swedish intervention in Ireland and Italy have also helped to create a dynamic position on the board which may yet proove to draw Prussia and myslef back to a drawing table to discuss how a peaceful Europe looks. Relations with Libertardores have significantly improoved considering the Communists Rapier was cheaper then the price Mighty Twang G had earlier considered.
A long layed seed of hate will most likely come to fruit against the English whores, however with Sweden flexing its muscle and the situation in the Med Seas it is unlikely any major wars will erupt for know, but certainly before the 30's are over.
Bourbon commanders admit there missgivivings of the loss of a BB and CV. However a triumphant return is expected with a CV gaining 3 Stars in a battle that lasted in and out over a fortnight. These ships will be retired soon as obsolete death traps. A renewed offensive against UK will require a substantial investment in research funding and production and nerves of steel.
Ill just add my comments here that im in no way trying to single prussia out in my above comments as masny nations will posses such aresenals, asian namely witht he hi MP, but that im meerly commenting about what is most obviously my first priority the home front, seeing as UK home Isles is certainly a long war prospect. My deals with Tonic were unexpected but good. With a little luck and a few regional skirmishes i might yet avoid a total war situation
