Japs only sent some naval bombers to help bomb some fleets. There more then welcome to send as much as they want. There just repaying the favor i did to them sending fighters to them earlier. If i didnt send my fighters to japan he wasnt going to counter ther allied threat in vietnam. So my fighter enabled the Japs to do there stunning victories in the far east. Now japan is repaying the favor, we work as one team sharing forces were needed.

Also those forces in paris where a few italian forces and polish. I t was around 7 old divisions i think even a few garissions in there. Hardly 100,000 more like 60-70,000, no german troops there either.

Basicaly BB if the allies had held there ground and kept there port in NW germany they would be fine. But they underestimated the strength of the German army. I will never defend france to heavily. I position my forces a long way from where ever they land to organsive, let them advance and thine there forces. Which they did and lead to there current situation. Woth Germany you have to plan to land with like 80-100 divisions as the Germans can counter anything smaller. Basicaly they rushed there invasion to early and will now suffer the penality.
 
So Mike... your tactics are to allow half your home country to be overrun so the invaders can 'spread out'?

Obviously an attemt by Herr Hilter to excuse the total lack of defenses in Germany. Even after Herr Hilter himself declared that 'D-Day is coming'

If Herr Hilters 'Let your enemy overrun your home country' tactic is for real then ...... :rofl:

The only reason the Allies are not pressing the Germans in Europe now is because of the unreliable supply situation. It has nothing to do with Herr Hilters let the Allies Overrun the Fatherland strategy :)

Herr hitlers armies are about to the destroy the allied armies so Herr Hitlers strategy is alot better then yours, and ive done this strategy before to great effect against you and joel, hahaha.

This is still off for this sunday as JH is still away, should be on again for next weekend though. We will play the new game this sunday instead.
 
Well it seems like this game is being ended... Seeing that both Mike and Major have said that we might as well end it, and JH not seeming too pleased with it as it stands. I'm ok with whatever... so long as it stays Sunday 7-11 AEST. What do Husayn, Munster and Albatross think?
 
So that makes it 2 games abandoned, again.
 
Hey i want to continue, only major wants to quit, BB would also like a new game as she was a crappy minor. But if BB wants to play on as USA to replace nolan im fine with that. We dont play and abandon games on just what major says. So if everyone wants to continue im fine with that.

I vote to play on, im sure munster wants to play on as well as italy.

I am awaiting for my midwife wife (does that make sense??) to settle into her new job (with an on-call commitment) -- that is why I have had to default as Canada in our recent game.

When things settle down the Sunday timeslot will be my best bet -- I expect to know how things a running within the next 2-3 weeks.

I know you can't reserve a seat for me, but I am still commited to our group.

I have basically scanned the posts and well its just more of the same. The net result of this is that the Allies can only invade france from south of ostend. As - given the nature of the Belgian border and its contigiuos link to the South - it cannot be invaded from North of Belgium. Simple logic.

The German player knowing this - can 'defend' accordingly.

if you want all blame me and get nasty - well thats not what I play the game for. I reckon it was an excellent invasion and I took France and Paris quite effectively.

I suggest you get another UK player or start a new game, which I thought you would have done in my absence. The idea of reivading because of a rule like that is ludicrous. Ok we lost due to a game supply rule - I dont feel a loser I feel a game non swot.... Moveon.com.
 
Well JH I am with you it does look like at this stage we will be starting a new Sunday game. Just waiting for confirmation. Havnt found anybody dumb enough yet to take over the USA especially with the curent supply situation in France. When we get the board up and running you will be able to direct problems like this to the board.
As part of getting organised more professionally I will be emailing everyone of game start times for all sessions and new games. It gets hard to keep track of in Paradox now.
 
Well, a new game is underway. Good to play group games again after whats been a while.

Whilst it's early days yet (late July 1936), the Soviet Union is already happy with the situation it finds itself in. Early dissent with the latest 5 year plan has been quashed, and new technological breakthroughs have improved productivity and harvests alike. Centralised logistics planning has decreased the load the Red Army places on the Soviet economy.

The CPSU has also secured treaties and non-aggression pacts with the neighbours it wished to do so with. All targets have been met, and Uncle Joe feels confident that at least there are clear indications as to when potential hostilities might flare up in the future.

The first clash of idealogies now beckons. Nationalist and facist forces in spain have risen against the legitimate Republican government. With greater co-ordination of the Nationalists moves (human player) :) it is expected that the war will be swift, and end in defeat for democracy. Communism therefore, waits in the wings...
 
Ok guys...I have unpdated the intitial thread in this post and put players names next to countries. As the Spanish civil war has started Ric will join us next session as Nationlist Spain to make 10 players. Congratulations for those voted onto the Aussie War council...Mike, Bumble and GK. Any problems please forward to the board at aussie.board@hotmail.com or myself and I will forward on. Thanks to everyone for their cooperation I am sure things will move along very smoothly now.

Try and meet up in Vnet 10 Minutes before official starting times.

I am also looking at making up a Web page for us. We are no longer a small group :)
 
The Imperial Empire of Japan.

Jan 1st - July 1936. 6 months of rapid industrialisation and technological improvement. Japan year plan is to turn the home islands into and industrial centre to rival anyone in the world. On the diplomatic front Non aggression pacts were signed with neighbours that we have no ill intent for. Military plans are well underway for futue operations code named Red Dragon (who could that be...).

Long live the emperorer.
