Aussie Sunday Game

With new years and Xmas behind us, now could be a good time to organise a new Sunday night (as possible other nights as available) game for Australian/Kiwi players.

New players welcome, players from other regions generally cause too many lag issues, as well as being out of timezone whack, and therefore we steer clear of this.

Assuming the normal players sign up, rules are generally simple, and confined to ruling out exploits. Otherwise, we play with historical major alliances, and a historical (or close to) war start date.

Some aussie group regulars are still away for another week, so I won't nominate a specific start date, but sometime in the next 2 weeks should give us time to pick nations, and possibly even play with CORE (due to be released Jan 15).

Count me in. I think the weekend after this would be a good sunday to start. Majors connection will be up and running by next tuesday so hopefully all connection problems sorted. Good way to start the new year.

As for Prefrences, well you know me i would like to finish one of our games we start when im playing germany. But i wouldnt mind playing either UK or Italy as well if some one else is set on germany.

Given 1.3b is also out, I've patched up. The AI changes seem generally pretty good. Based on the discussion in the Friday night thread, I guess we're waiting on some play testing of CORE before we decide on that.

If everyone is ok to start next Sunday, I was assuming we'd go for a 7pm start. Gives us time to rope in some more players (jh and troy at a minimum will play I assume?)

Also - just noticed that there appears to be a Soviet GDE bug with 1.3b. Hopefully it'll be fixed before we start, so we can enjoy the work Lothos has done with the AI. If not, back to 1.3a I guess...

Hi guys belated happy new year and christmas greetings. I'll be back next sunday, so should be go for a game. I'd prefer something on the allied side this time, Canada or maybe USA depending on other peoples wishes.

There is a 1.3b? Well we have an ongoing game with 1.3a and if 1.3bis bugged then maybe we should leave it be for the time being?

1.3b is bugged and badly, apparently the SU now recieves a GDE of 1.0 making its troops invulnerable to attack. Lothos says there will be a hotfix by the end of next week but until then don't download 1.3b

Yep. The saves are compatable btw I assume, considering the version number doesn't change from JLQC...

Still, the fix should be in place by next Sunday which means we can use it.

Jh emailed me to say he is keen to join in this game as well btw.

Which gives us 7 players - a good number to play as the majors, with 1 extra to play as a minor.

Fellas after soem Sp testing I have discovered a viable 4th allied power!

France after surrender gets a decent amount of IC and there is a new event chain for liberating Vichy Africa and for a buildup of divisions. It is possible for France to field 70-80 divisions by 1944. I would like to play them in this game if thats ok.

Sounds fine by me, providing we have some agreement about how the defense of France is conducted prior to the Vichy events (eg, no mass evac of troops, and perhaps no maginot line extention?)

Also, I'll be shifting from night shifts to day work, which should open up more mid-week gaming opportunities.

Ok.My new connection allows to me host without disrupting other ADSL on a good cable conenction. Our new game the other day has run very smoothly for 2 years the only crash being the annexation of Eithopia. I would like to play the USA in this game.
