Posted this a couple of days ago in the General Discussions forum. Thought I should give it a post here, too, as scenario designers were the original target for this tool.

I have created a little tool to aid gameplay.

EU Autosave monitors the EU Save Games folder, and archives save files as they occur to an archive folder. EU Autosave adds convenience to players who make regular saves on their own (e.g. annually). You can rely on the autosave mechanism in EU to perform the save, while getting a unique save file name for each save. EU Autosave is also very useful for players who perform "hands off" games for research. An entire history of save games can be captured without human intervention.

• Save games can be archived to either the normal EU Save Games folder or to any other folder.
• The number of save files that are kept archived can be limited (to save disk space) or unlimited.
• Archived save files are named with game date as a prefix. Multiple save files for the same game date have a numeric suffix appended to the game date.
• An optional prefix can be placed on each archived save file.

The tool is availble at: http://eucontrol.systemvoid.com
