Is there a defines.txt like file which lays out what gives what amount of badboy or is it hardcoded? And also what exact string do you search for in a save to find/edit it?

BB gain and loss is hardcoded, check the FAQ-section for BB
IIRC you need to look for the tag of your primary-title and then for 'badboy = '
I'd looked in the FAQ as well as the "What gives it and what takes it away" posts but its quite possible I overlooked it. I was panicking because my newly acquired holy land Archbisho(pricks) - because they're pricks for rebelling - were doing so because of badboy that I didn't think I'd have gotten for mauling muslims.
In DV you get BB for conquering provinces, regardless of what religion the rulers are.
