One line summary of your issue
Cannot start game, nor escape the settings menu

What platform are you running the game on?
Steam

What operating system do you use?
Windows 10 Build 19041

Which version of the game are you running?
1.9.1-686R

What DLC do you have installed?
Flashpoint, Urban Warfare, Heavy Metal

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
When starting the game, it gets to the main menu as expected. Starting a new campaign, normal campaign, and then it runs into an infinite loading screen. Another issue is when going into the settings for any option (video, audio, just to check out the options) it will hold me there. It will not let me leave the options menu and if I select a different video resolution in it, it will flash the screen as if it was switching to a new screen, but it's just the options menu again except blanked out.

Have you tried verifying your files?
Yes

Steps to reproduce the issue
I honestly have no idea how to reproduce this, I just got this game not long ago and have come around to finally play it.

This is a bug in Unity, it cannot cope with apostrophes in a file path:
H:/Zack's Games/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/BATTLETECH/
Data.MetaDataDatabase [ERROR] Mono.Data.Sqlite.SqliteException (0x80004005): SQLite error
near "s": syntax error
Please either rename that folder to have no apostrophe, or install the game in another Steam library that does not have one.

All the best!
