What operating system do you use?
Windows 10

Which version of the game are you running?
1.9.1-686R

Have you tried verifying your files?
Yes

Steps to reproduce the issue
Game constantly crashes randomly. Not sure.

Attach DxDiag (PC), System Info log (Mac), or run sudo lshw -html > specs.html and uploaded specs.html (Linux)

If the game crashed, please attach the crash file with the time stamp closest to the crash.
Windows: [Steam library folder]\steamapps\common\BATTLETECH\DumpBox
For v.17 and beyond try here: C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\LocalLow\Harebrained Schemes\BATTLETECH
OSX: Macintosh HD > Users > [username] > Library > Application Support > Steam > steamapps > common > BattleTech > DumpBox
Linux: [Steam library folder]/steamapps/common/BATTLETECH/DumpBox

File(s) attached

If a save game was loaded at the start of the game session, upload it. Please make sure to upload the save game with the timestamp closest to when you loaded it.
Windows:
Steam: [Steam installation folder]\userdata[SteamID]\637090\remote\C0\SGS1

Has this always happened since you've had this game? Or it was okay up to some point?

Counted 161 save slots
Probably not related to the issue but you should delete any saves you don't really need, try to keep below 100.

Can we get a new dxdiag please, as that one is incomplete .

This has always happened since I had the game. The amount of saves is because I save every chance I get due to the constant crashes...
What is wrong with the DXDiag? I just uploaded a new one but right now I was testing the game with my integrated graphics and disabled my 2070 super.
Game has been stable for about an hour, but pretty brutal at like 10-20 fps.

What is wrong with the DXDiag?
DxDiag Previously: Crashed in Direct3D (stage 2).
Usually this means you hit Save All Info before the app had finished loading.

And now we see what is presumably the problem:
Display Tab 2: There is a problem with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER device. For more information, search for 'graphics device driver error code 22'
Hopefully this is just a driver issue not a hardware fault! Try this:

- uninstall the nVidia video driver and all other nVidia software
- reboot
- install the latest by fresh download from here:
- reboot again

Good luck!

I disabled my GTX 2070 Super. Its disabled, which is why the error is showing up I suppose. I am trying to run with the game with Intel integrated Graphics to possibly rule out issues with my GTX 2070 Super. I can reboot and re-run dxdiag with the 2070 a bit later.

That will never work as the game is not supported on Intel video hardware. However the nVidia is enabled in the output log you sent in originally?

There's no issue reported in that new dxdiag though.

Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 10 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install
SPEEDFAN http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

It did work with integrated graphics, however I got like 8-15 FPS on low settings. I have been trying various different configurations trying to figure out the issue here. With integrated graphics I played for over an hour without issue, 2 times (albeit pretty painfully at 15 fps).
Recently I switched my 2070 Super out for a an old GTX 760, and that also had the same crashes and system locking problems.

That's very unusual, normally the game crashes on load with that unsupported hardware.

That shows that nVidia card is not the problem then. I guess we are left with some other hardware fault, or a Windows problem. If you run this Windows repair tool:
does it find anything to fix?

Also, in the Windows Event Viewer are there ERROR or WARNING entries in the few minutes leading up to one of these hangs?

No warning or anything before the hang, but you might be onto something with the temperatures. See attached info.
I found a thread where people were having similar issues and throttled the FPS in the game via rivatuner to bottleneck the temps. Not sure why the temps are so high though, never had this issue with any other game.

Other than the hangs I also get crashes with error code 0xc0000005 in event viewer sometimes. Usually UnityPlayer.dll.

Well that didn't seem to solve it, still get hangs. System hang and then blue-screen (Machine-check exception) error.
See the temps/GPU info during the crash (only 60c but GPU memory is working hard). Seem to get crashes mostly in Mech Bay.

System hang and then blue-screen (Machine-check exception) error.
That is very bad news! I'm afraid that is certainly a hardware fault in your CPU or memory, or possibly elsewhere on the system board. I'm very sorry that's happened to you.

I hope you have a trusted source of hardware support !

Okay! I found other people on the internet having similar issues with unity games, and may have found something that works.
I disabled the Turbo Mode in my BIOS settings for the CPU.

So far 1 play session over an hour and no crashes or blue screens.
Will test more over the next few days, thanks for your patience.

I have faced the same difficulty.

The game crashes when I go into battle on maps, usually after 5 to 15 minutes. The crash is total of the computer.

To report, I expose that I've done all possible tests.
- Full / dedicated window
- Change of resolutions
- Quality of videos
- Additional video settings, all tested
- Windows 10 system and also Windows 7 with all drives updated.
- Test with the graphics card and also with the integrated video
- Temperature monitoring, all below 65 degrees

Nothing worked!

My computer has the following configurations: i9-9000k, Asus Maximus XI Formula, HyperX Predator 32GB 3200MHz (2x16GB), NVMe 2TB 4600MB/s

My impression is that the game was poorly done in terms of video and graphics, I researched and several people are with the game crashing the computer in the same way.

In contact with the HBS company they didn't give the slightest attention to my problem.

I love the Battletech franchise, but this game developed by HBS has serious problem!

Please attach here the game log:
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\LocalLow\Harebrained Schemes\BATTLETECH\output_log.txt

To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

That dxdiag is incomplete again:
DxDiag Previously: Crashed in system information (stage 3). Re-running DxDiag with "dontskip" command line parameter or choosing not to bypass information gathering when prompted might result in DxDiag successfully obtaining this information
Run dxdiag.exe then WAIT until it has finished loading, the green load bar is complete. THEN hit the Save All Info button to make dxdiag.txt , thanks.
