I was running fine, then tried a mod to the game and started freezing on Enemy Turns. I pulled the mod back out, I deleted all my saves, I've re-installed the entire game, and restarted by PC. No matter what, the game freezes on Enemy/Allied turn in the first round they act.

Unity [ERROR] UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path "AI_Logs" is denied.
What antivirus app do you use? Add BattleTech.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.

That's weird that it would have been working fine one day, but not the next.

I use Windows Defender, but it's whitelisted and still not working. I attached a clean Output Log, there are zero saves and zero mods on the game, all I did was start it up and went to Single Player Skirmish. When playing, it lets my three light mechs go, and skips/reserves the enemy mechs. When it's time to move to the next initiative, it freezes on the enemy turn.

I'm noticing in the log that it can't find a Mono folder in the game directory, and there isn't one there, even after a complete uninstall/reinstall. Anything else?

That is normal and cosmetic, nothing to do with your problem.

You specifically added BattleTech.exe to the Ransomware - Apps Allowed Through list?

You might also need to stop it doing realtime scans on the BT folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BattleTech\
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Harebrained Schemes\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\USER_ID\637090\

I added

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Harebrained Schemes
C:\Program Files (x86)\Paradox Interactive\games\battletech

to the exclusions list, since I'm not using Steam to play the game (as noted in my original bug report).

Still not working. Is there something that I'm missing when it does the uninstall? Something that isn't removed or copied over when reinstalling?

I can't say either way since I don't know what procedure you used. But here's mine:

- Remove the game from Steam (uninstall)
- Manually delete all these files and folders, if still there:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BattleTech\
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Harebrained Schemes\ (To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\USER_ID\637090\
(first move the \remote\C#\SGS#\ folder elsewhere to keep your save games)

- Install the game again
- add steam.exe and BattleTech.exe to the Whitelist of your antivirus app, whatever it is

If you still get any problem, please send me a new dxdiag.txt and output_log.txt , thank you.
