Game does not stop in steam when exiting

What platform are you running the game on?
Steam

What operating system do you use?
Windows 10

What DLC do you have installed?
Flashpoint, Urban Warfare, Shadowhawk Pack, Heavy Metal

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
When exiting the game, it stays running in steam. The only way to solve seems to be to force quit steam.

Open game, exit game from the button on the main screen.

Attach DxDiag (PC), System Info log (Mac), or run sudo lshw -html > specs.html and uploaded specs.html (Linux)

Not really sure what could cause that for you, it's not normal. Has it always happened, or only since when?

Add Battletech.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.

And you might try a Steam Flush Config
