One line summary of your issue
Game freezs on exit, forced to restart computer, no sound in window mode

What platform are you running the game on?
Steam

What operating system do you use?
Windows 10 Pro Version 21H2

Which version of the game are you running?
1.9.1-668R

What DLC do you have installed?
Flashpoint, Urban Warfare, Heavy Metal

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I just started playing this game and I have this issue where the game freezes when I exit.
I cannot use the task manager to shut down the game because even though I can use alt-tab and ctrl-alt-delete to open the task manager, it is being forced into the background by the game so I can't access it.
I am forced to restart the computer every time I want to exit.

It's worth noting that this only seems to happen when in full screen, however if I run in window mode I get no sound in the game as if I was alt-tabbed out.
And after running the game in window mode, I no longer got any sound at all even after switching back to fullscreen

Last time I played the game I was running on Windows 7 and I had no such problems, now I'm running Windows 10 and it happens every single time without exception.
This leads be to believe that its an issue with Windows 10.

Have you tried verifying your files?
Yes

Steps to reproduce the issue
1. Start a new game or load a saved game
2. Play a mission
3. Try to exit game.
4. Watch game screen being frozen and unable to interact with.
5. Try to use Alt-Tab or Ctrl-Alt-Delete and watch the task manager get forced into the background by the game

Managed to fix the sound issue.
It was windows messing around with the sound settings as usual.
Never had problems like this with Win 7, but even since I got 10 it's been nothing but trouble.

But you still have the freeze on exit thing, is that right?

Does that output log reflect one of those? Because it seems to exit okay in general.

What antivirus app do you use?

I see some LiveKernelEvent entries in that dxdiag, which happen when Windows is forcibly downed or rebooted. Have you seen those, are they associated with this game or something else?

I am for some reason now unable to reproduce the issue.
It was a problem for 3 days before I posted this bug report, and the only time it would not happen would be when I closed the game from the main menu without loading or playing any missions.
I'm going to have to do some more testing on this issue, no idea what caused it or how it seemingly resolved itself now.

As for the LivreKernelEvent, I have not seen it, but I would think that it is the result of me having to manually reboot the computer when the game locked up.
When I was running the game in fullscreen I could not Alt-tab to another window, that is Alt-Tab was working, but the game overrode any window I would Alt-tab to and forcing those windows into the background making them inaccessible
The same was happening with Ctrl-Alt-Delete to open the task manager, the Task manager would open, but the game would force it into the background where I could not access it.
I had to manually shut down the computer by holding the power button to shut it off, as such windows was not shut down properly, and that is likely where that LiveKernelEvent comes from.

I'm not very technically oriented so I have not looked at the output log or Dxdiag as I would not understand much of it.

Done some more testing, and it seems that this is happening after I have played for a while.
I notice the game start getting a little sluggish, slow to load and freezes for brief periods when there is any kind of loading going on.
I played for a few hours now and when exiting the game it stopped responding, it even said "Not Responding" in the task manager.

Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 10 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install
SPEEDFAN http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

Before game start temperatures was
CPU: 47C
GPU: 61C

After 25 minutes of play
CPU: 53C
GPU: 86C

At 35 minutes I finished a single mission, saved the game and quit.
Game froze and will not close, task manager says game is not responding.

There is your problem for sure! 80c is where problems start happening.

Go into Settings, Video, Advanced and make sure Vsync is enabled.

If it is, or that doesn't help, it's probably a hardware problem. Clean out all air vents it has (compressed air cans are good for this). Make sure airflow to them is not blocked by anything like walls, books or whatever.
If that doesn't drop the temps enough, you probably have a faulty fan or a heatsink/thermal paste problem. You may need professional help at that point.

Good luck!
