During my game, I have found a bug and a way to reproduce it.

Image #1
bug1.jpg

This screenshot shows the Portugal's king realm.
You can see that dark-green provinces are 14, but number show on left says 13 (Dominio).

Image #2
bug2.jpg

This screenshot shows the Portugal's king court.
You can see that selected character is titled as count of Burgos, but he stay inside the Portugal court.
The county of Burgos is under full control by the King (I can build improvements and may mobilize soldiers).

Links to download the savegame
http://ambrox62.altervista.org/ck/sg/Create_start.exe
http://ambrox62.altervista.org/ck/sg/start.rar.1
http://ambrox62.altervista.org/ck/sg/start.rar.2
http://ambrox62.altervista.org/ck/sg/start.rar.3
(Download all files in a same folder, then execute the Create_start.exe to rebuild the RAR)

How to reproduce the bug
1) Load the game as King of Portugal
2) PAUSE the game and REMAIN IN PAUSE during all following operations
3) Select the Pope char, then cheat F12 - Die
4) After Pope dies, bishop of Burgos becomes new Pope
5) Confirm the boxes about new Pope and new Controller
6) Select Portugal menu-order
7) Invest courtier in Image #2 as bishop of Burgos
8) Voilà! The bug is under your eyes !

If you after point 5) and before point 6) remove the PAUSE-status and flowing game-time, the bug doesn't happen.

I hope this will useful to improve CK.

NOTE
Into another thread , I have posted about the U-phanthom-county Bug regarding County of Vannes.
Now, I have noticed that Vannes is and was vassal of Papal State, and all the saves refer to the same game.
Casual ? Connection ?

Interesting...

I'll look into this.

Your links aren't working for me. All I get is a generic Altervista homepage (in Italian, I think, which I can't speak) and no exe and no rars.

Could you please take your save game and rar it into one file and then e-mail it to me at: chris.stone at rogers.com

Yes. I tried that too and got:

16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem Error
C:\crashsave\CREATE~1.EXE
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.
CS:0504 IP:02386 6f 72 72 69
Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

Winrar is easily able to compress the save into a single file so I'm just looking to get a copy of this save without having to jump through hoops to get it.

Nope. Unable to assemble them.

Lenny's post did manage to remind me that the problem had been previously reported and after some searching and reading back through the beta bug tracker (elsewhere) I gather that this is in the "won't fix" category because it's very deeply embedded in the game engine and can't be easily resolved. Considering that the pseudo-fix (unpause, run a day, then appoint) is simple, and that the 1.05 development budget will not support massive recoding, I think that this will have to suffice. Sorry about that.

Well MrT, write a post or hint somewhere in the FAQ section about that, so other peoples know and prevent it.

Good point. I'll put something together about it.

Why don't you just sticky this thread with a more informative title. Something like "courtier stays in court after title is granted phenomena".
Then, after 1.05 is finished, one can update Byakhiam's "good to know things" FAQ, and add this to the list. (Not that anyone would read stickies or FAQs. :p)

As nobody reads stickies anyway it´s better to have only really important stuff up there as separate threads. So no.

Updating it after 1.05 is done sounds like a very good idea really. Not that most people would read it... (reminded one user just today that you need save and reload after changing primary title...)
