I found a bug where you can usurp your own title. You do not get a claim on your own title, but you do incur the prestige loss.

If you sue for peace and convince your enemy to hand over (all of) his title(s) to you, afterwards you get the notification that your enemy has accepted peace. At this point, the menu bar on the left looks something like this:

[YOUR CoA]

[FORMER TITLE HELD BY YOUR ENEMY]

[ENEMY'S PORTRAIT]

"Sue for peace (greyed out)
Send assassin
Usurp title
Grab title"

[OLD STATUS OF ENEMY'S REALM]

If you select "Usurp title", you are given a list of your duke/king-level titles. If you possess the required territories, then the red seal is selectable. When you press it, the correct amount of prestige is deducted from your score (even if it puts you into the negative) and the log shows something along the lines of "May 1, 1086: Joan is attemping to usurp the Duke of Zaragoza and has laid claim to it."* You DO NOT get a claim on your own lands.

The "Grab title" menu is also selectable, but I was not able to test it out. The "go into negative prestige" bug wasn't seen here.

* The wording for this is horrible, but perhaps that is best left to another thread. It should read: "May 1, 1086: Joan is attemping to usurp the title of Duke of Zaragoza and has laid claim to it." or "May 1, 1086: Joan is attemping to usurp the Duke of Zaragoza and has laid claim to that title."

Does this actually hurt playing at all? I mean it basically sounds like a way to exploit the game to give yourself a penalty. It does sound like a bug but perhaps there are more important ones for the developers to focus their limited time.

What's up with the Finns ganging up on me? :p

Please note that I didn't say this was a game-breaking, needs-to-be-fixed-now bug. I reported a bug, which is the purpose of having an open beta.

Just trying to help.

Keep it up and you´ll find a knife in your stomach:D

You didn´t say it was game-breaking but I tried to explain why I see it as too minor to be even worth fixing. Lots of bugs that are not gamebreaking but have a wide enough influence are fixed. It is the purpose of the open beta to report all kinds of bugs and we appreciate you guys doing that. I just rather let people know what is going to happen with the bugs they report.
