I am tired to see Austria fall apart and to be reunited in one month. Why it happens:
When a revolter is created:
1) It doens't have any claims, cause the revolt entry extra isn't working correctly, this was already reported by Generalisimo. We need to add the cores by event, a silly waste of events, one for every possible revolter...
2) When it is created, it lacks: a) funds; b) resources; c) troops; d) it's population, lacks soldiers and officers
Point 2) is the focus of this thread; when a country is created it inherits the technology and literacy rating of its 'father', but all it's military population is coverted to farmers or aristocrats (soldiers and offocers respectively).
In EU2, money was much easy to came by, in one month we could raise an army, in Vic, the truth is different, cause hardly a country will have the funds to raise an army, and the worst of all, it won't have the resources, and sometimes it won't have access to WM, due low prestige or lack of supply.
So, my suggestions are:
I) At creation of any revolter, it should be granted a x prestige which is related with it's size, and this same x should be reduced from it's 'father' country.
So for each civilized province x*1 prestige, each GP province x*2 and each unciv province x*0.75.
With this resolution, would help in the question of WM access, also would reduce the free prestige, which comes with the re-anexation of this country by the 'father'land.
II) Addition of a mobilization entry in the revolt.txt, where we can grant one or two division to a revolter, cause if it is revolting, it MUST have at least one division to fight for; or use a similar rule to the above, like if the 'father' is GP,civ, unciv grants: 2 infantry, 1 infantry and 1 irregular respectively.
III) Addition of a money entry in the revolt.txt so we could follow the same rules that exists in the .inc files, cause the country need at least a couple of hundreds to ran a war economy, this funds should also be deducted from its parent country. So a back western country starts with $650 per example.
IV) As in the .inc files all countries start with a reduced stockpile of resources, so following the reasoning on this thread we should have a entry were an civ/unciv revolter gets the basic stockpiles. As example a unciv when revolts, receives wool and iron.
The post above is more a suggestion than a BUG, but it is decorrent of a flaw in the game, which seems to be a mixture of BUG (extra in revolt.txt) and a WAD (lack of resources and troops) so I decided to post here, also it would attract the 'right' attenttion, but if you decide to move the post I understand.
