Bug with smaller campaigns?

I have WinME, with an Athlon 1.2 ghz processor. I have 1.09 installed, no IGC at all. Yesterday I tried twice to play the Age of Revolutions scenario as the USA. Each time, the game crashed at about 15 minutes into it (at least that's how long I estimate, we all know how time can fly when you're playing EU!). I then tried the mini-scenario playing as Prussia (can't remember the name of the scenario), and the same thing happened, a crash at around 15 minutes into it. When I play the GC, I usually go hours without a crash.

Is this a known problem that's been addressed before, and has anyone else noticed this?

It isn't a bug, it is actually a very shrewd tactic that England uses against you (and me for the past few days). When the war starts going bad, the King declares, "EU shall be played no longer...May you American devils stare in frustration at your desktop."
