Just wondering... is anyone even reading the bug reports and working on addressing reported bugs?

I've seen several bug reports over the last four months or so go completely unanswered (including at least two of my own) and the issues brought up in those reports not listed in the list of logged bugs. In fact, that list itself is rarely updated, and has not been in nearly three weeks.

Additionally, in my attempts to report bugs on Victoria (unlike with other Paradox games), I have never recieved any sort of reply whatsoever, even a follow-up post on the boards.

Can we expect these recently reported bugs to be addressed, or will we simply have to live with them?

Derek Pullum is the main bug forum mod, but I have not seen him post in a while. I imagine he is busy IRL. Anyway, bug fixing will be continued, don't worry.

I've been out on hols and away on business for most of the last three weeks. As has Johan who is currently on hols in UK.

I guess when Johan is back behind the wheel we'll pick up the outstanding bugs.

BTW Sheridan - which bugs were you most concerned about? I can only find the thread on dreadnoughts and shore bombardment started by you this year (apart from a difference of opinion over Mexico's control of the American West).

I apologise if I haven't given you an answer but can't do much until the man is back from his hols

Mainly the dreadnoughts thing - I've started at least two threads on that one, and never gotten even so much as "yeah, I saw that too".

There are a few bugs others have brought up that have me concerned as well - for example, the California gold events not happening (I've never seen them fire) and the "improved efficiency" events actually decreasing efficiency of RGO's in the province (I had a delicately economically balanced Japan game, where this alone destroyed my economy and forced me into bankruptcy; I'd been making a profit of 0.2 a day, and the profit off that province's raw materials dropping pushed me to a 1.7 a day deficit...). I don't believe I've seen either of those addressed either.

(And some of those have been hanging for a lot longer than three weeks; not to sound accusatory, just me telling the truth.)

The boom/bust thing for resources is fixed in latest beta. Californian goldrush event problems I haven't heard of before - will check.

Dreadnought thing needs feedback from Johan - you might have noticed that he's had a few more things to do recently ;)

Hopefully he'll be able to address a little more time to the "sh*t" list for Victoria when he's back

Well, in my tests the shore bombardment number was always double the number of battleships I had, and did not seem to count dreadnoughts at all; however, logically, since dreadnoughts were nothing but the next-generation all-big-gun battleships, they *should* count - if not more, then at least equal (pre-dreadnought battleships often only carried 4 of those big guns, supplemented with smaller guns, while dreadnought-type battleships usually carried 8 or more big guns and no small ones; thus the sheer weight of their firepower was greater.)

P.S. The in-game events seem to confirm that this was also intended, as the enabling event for dreadnoughts also deactivates battleships.
