I was building a second dome next to an existing one and I wondered if the services available in the first one would be used by the folks in the second dome. Weirdly, it seemed that maybe some interests were satisfied but some weren't. So I guess I'm asking first, if the folks in one dome would go to another for relaxation, shopping, etc, and if that is true, is there a range limit, like the blue circle of the dome (which for example limits how far away a factory can be put). Thanks for any help!

No. Interests have to be satisfied in the dome they live in.
The some interests fulfilled comes from the space limits on buildings. If the garden is full when they want to relax, they'll just wander off.

The blue circle is for mines, fungi farms and polymer factories. They won't work any outside that boundary.

Thanks, I just was hoping for some benefit, but if it isn't there, it isn't. Well, they'll just have to live without that art gallery ;)

Art? I feel like I'm coddling them with diners and infirmaries. Back in the mines and factories, you dogs!

The elite get to grovel in the farm dirt.

There are definitely some interests that aren't worth fulfilling in the early game (I'm certainly not building anything requiring electronics or polymers as upkeep until I've stabilized my supply).

No this feature does not exist but it should have been there.

Was wondering myself the very same....why do they not fulfill their need in other domes (making me build several identical buildings at different domes....very inefficent).
The "they do not interact between domes" is rather silly....its not like they can't get out or anything.

I'd accept a range restriction and such, but just "they just don't" is a little....disappointing.

Going to another dome involves putting on a spacesuit, depressurising, spacewalking to the other dome (knowing that if anything goes wrong, you're dead), re-pressurising, fuck I forgot why I went to that dome, depressurising, spacewalking again (shit's scary, yo), re-pressurising and going home. Speaking as someone who hates going shopping in the rain, I don't blame them.

That said, building tunnels between domes should be a thing.
