can I fix this

alright. This game has been out for quite a while, and i just cant get past year 1950 with the USA, because now the game is unbearably slow. I tried playing Iran, and after the year 1951 or so it also slowed down, but i had continued playing, and after all that trouble my save game now crashes. Would a simple re-installation of the game, or even windows work? or is this a problem everyone is having, in which case the game is simply not playable, because 5 year of game time just isn't enough.

P.S. I know a lot of people have been complaining about the slowdown, but I just can't believe that this cant be fixed, since they had updated events ect. I.E. some people do get to play the late game.

You've got two different issues here;

Some users are getting corrupt savegames but we have been unable to determine the cause. If you turn on daily Autosaves, they use alternating file names so if one gets corrupt you still have another autosave and have only lost one game day of progress.

Regarding game speed, we are continuing to work to improve this and deal with any issues that are identified. If you feel you have a particularly "slow" savegame, feel free to zip it and e-mail it to us. Please reference ticket 16602.
